The Role
The TABP Manager serves as the strategic talent advisor for the Vietnam market, partnering closely with business leaders, hiring managers, the Vietnam HR Director, and the local HR team to deliver talent acquisition outcomes aligned to business growth and workforce planning priorities. The role leads end-to-end recruitment strategy and execution across Vietnam while managing and coaching a small team of 1 to 2 Talent Acquisition professionals in the market. Beyond recruitment delivery, the role provides market intelligence, talent insights, workforce planning recommendations, and practical hiring solutions that support organizational objectives.
The role will be reporting directly to the SouthEast Asia TA Lead and matrix to the HR Director for Vietnam.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Business Partnering
- Act as the primary Talent Acquisition partner to Vietnam business leaders, providing guidance on hiring strategy, workforce planning, talent market dynamics, and delivery priorities.
- Partner closely with the Vietnam HR Director and local HR team to ensure recruitment priorities are aligned with broader people, organizational, and business strategies.
- Participate in talent discussions, organizational planning, and workforce reviews to proactively identify future hiring needs, hiring risks, and talent supply challenges.
- Influence hiring decisions through data-driven recommendations, external market insights, competitor intelligence, and talent availability analysis.
- Drive alignment between business expectations, talent acquisition capacity, and market realities to enable effective and credible hiring outcomes.
- Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and act as a credible advisor on talent acquisition matters.
Leadership and Team Management
- Lead, coach, and develop a small Talent Acquisition team of 1 to 2 recruiters, fostering a high-performance, collaborative, and service-oriented culture.
- Provide guidance on search strategies, stakeholder engagement, candidate management, offer approach, and delivery priorities.
- Establish clear goals and performance expectations, supporting team members in achieving hiring outcomes and development objectives.
- Promote best practices, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement across the Vietnam Talent Acquisition team.
- Ensure consistent service delivery, recruitment quality, and operational discipline across all hiring activities.
Talent Acquisition Delivery
- Lead and oversee end-to-end recruitment across Vietnam, ensuring critical roles are filled with high-quality talent within agreed timelines.
- Develop and execute sourcing and selection strategies tailored to the needs of different business functions and service lines.
- Build and maintain talent pipelines for critical, recurring, and hard-to-fill roles through direct sourcing, referrals, networking, market mapping, and employer brand activities.
- Partner with hiring managers throughout the recruitment lifecycle, including role scoping, assessment, selection, offer management, and onboarding handover.
- Work closely with HR, Rewards, and business leaders on offer development, approvals, and negotiations.
- Ensure recruitment practices comply with dentsu policies and relevant Vietnam employment regulations.
Stakeholder Management and Collaboration
- Serve as a trusted advisor to hiring managers and leadership teams by providing clear guidance, market insights, and recruitment expertise.
- Establish strong working relationships across business functions, the Vietnam HR team, regional TA, and wider HR centres of excellence.
- Communicate proactively and transparently, providing regular updates on recruitment progress, pipeline health, market conditions, and key delivery risks.
- Manage stakeholder expectations effectively while balancing urgency, quality, candidate experience, and long-term workforce needs.
- Influence stakeholders through consultative discussions, practical recommendations, and solution-oriented decision making.
- Resolve hiring challenges through collaboration, negotiation, and appropriate escalation to the SEA TA Lead and Vietnam HR Director where required.
Candidate Experience and Employer Brand
- Champion a high-quality candidate experience throughout the recruitment lifecycle, ensuring timely, transparent, and professional communication.
- Represent dentsu as an employer of choice and uphold the organisation's reputation in every candidate and market interaction.
- Create and nurture engaged talent communities for future hiring needs.
- Partner with the Vietnam HR team and business leaders on employer branding, referral, campus, and market engagement initiatives.
Talent Acquisition Projects and Continuous Improvement
- Partner with the Vietnam HR Director and HR team on talent initiatives such as employer branding, university engagement, internship and graduate programmes, employee referral programmes, onboarding, and diversity initiatives.
- Lead or contribute to regional Talent Acquisition projects across Southeast Asia where required.
- Drive continuous improvement in recruitment processes, reporting, stakeholder experience, and overall TA effectiveness.
- Use hiring metrics and analytics to identify risks, improve service delivery, and inform business decisions.
Qualifications / Success Profile
- 8–10 years of Talent Acquisition experience with a strong blend of recruitment delivery and strategic business partnering.
- Experience supporting senior stakeholders and leadership teams in a complex, fast-paced organisation.
- Experience managing or leading a small recruitment team is preferred.
- Strong understanding of the Vietnam talent market, hiring landscape, and employment practices.
- Experience partnering with HR leaders and HR Business Partners on workforce planning and talent initiatives.
- Experience recruiting across diverse functions and seniority levels.
- Experience with Workday or similar recruitment technology is an advantage.
- Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing capability.
- Strong business partnering mindset with the ability to challenge constructively and provide practical recommendations.
