Your role purpose
Ensure comprehensive IT operations and infrastructure support scoped to Recover's Vietnam Hub by performing daily first and second level IT activities. Manage infrastructure maintenance and enhancement, IT equipment procurement, local vendor management, and systems administration, in alignment with Global IT strategies and procedures.
Your Essential Duties and Responsiblities
Leadership and Supervision
- Lead the team of Quality Control (QC) Inspectors, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure efficient and effective inspection activities.
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the QC team, including work assignments, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Final decision maker regarding the acceptance or rejection of materials based on the input and recommendations provided by the QC Inspector team.
Quality Control Management
- Develop and implement quality control processes and procedures to ensure compliance with product specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct inspections and audits of incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products to identify defects, non-conformities, and deviations from quality standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address and resolve quality issues, implementing corrective and preventive actions as needed.
- Monitor and analyze quality metrics, providing regular reports and recommendations for improvement to the Supplier Engineer and SCQ Manager.
Training and Development
- Train QC inspectors on inspection techniques, quality standards, and relevant operating procedures.
- Support the development and drive improvement of suppliers by providing guidance and training to enhance their quality control capabilities.
- Continuously develop the skills and knowledge of the QC team and the suppliers through ongoing training programs and professional development initiatives.
Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities for process improvement within the QC function and Procurement, implementing best practices and efficiency enhancements.
- Collaborate with Procurement to streamline quality control processes and ensure effective integration of quality requirements throughout the supply chain.
Competencies required
- High school diplomaor equivalent. Additional technical certifications or training in quality control or a related field are advantageous.
- Basic knowledge of Excel, Word, Oulook and Sharepoint needed.
- Basic English skills.
Work Experience required
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality control.
- Understanding of fabrics and fabric inspection.
- Experience in a manufacturing or supply chain environment is highly desirable.
Other requirements
- Communication and collaboration: Strong interpersonal and communication abilities, along with the capacity to assertively defend and explain inspection findings to suppliers, internal stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing, walking, and lifting, as required during inspections or on-site visits.
- Capable of multitasking, adaptable to change, able to work under pressure.
- Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently and autonomously.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills: Proficiency in data analysis, root cause analysis, and problem-solving methodologies, implementing corrective actions, and driving continuous improvement.
- Solution-oriented mindset.
- Involvement physically in the supplier sites, accounting for 100% of their working time.
