About the RoleWe are seeking a visionary and highly-experienced Solution Architect to define and guide the scalable, compliant architecture for our next-generation, AI-native product suite. This role is a critical bridge between business strategy, clinical needs, and technical execution. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on architect who can define a robust, resilient, and performant technical blueprint built on our core stack of Golang, ReactJS, PostgreSQL, and a Hybrid DigitalOcean/On-Prem infrastructure, ensuring our products meet extreme requirements for real-time performance and data security.
Key ResponsibilitiesReal-Time Systems & Telehealth Architecture:
- Design the secure, low-latency architecture for applications requiring instant communication, including telehealth services (video, audio, chat).
- Architect the highly-concurrent, real-time messaging system using Golang (e.g., leveraging WebSockets or gRPC) to manage critical data exchange between users.
- Ensure the ReactJS front-end efficiently handles and displays high-volume, real-time data streams without performance degradation.
AI/ML Training & Data Pipeline Architecture:
- Design and implement the data pipelines for the collection, transformation, and security-compliant flow of data from PostgreSQL and on-premise systems to feed into AI/ML model training environments.
- Define the MLOps and deployment architecture, ensuring deployed AI models (often integrated as Golang microservices) can deliver real-time, low-latency insights and predictions back to user-facing applications.
Scalability & Hybrid Cloud Engineering:
- Architect and manage the distributed system across our DigitalOcean cloud environment and on-premise servers, utilizing containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) for consistent deployment and operational resilience across the hybrid environment.
- Lead the data strategy for our transactional PostgreSQL database, optimizing for extreme performance, high availability, and data partitioning required by high-throughput applications and massive ML training datasets.
- Ensure secure, reliable networking, and data synchronization for continuous service delivery between cloud and on-prem assets.
Healthcare Compliance & Security:
- Ensure the entire solution architecture strictly adheres to critical global regulations and standards (e.g., HIPAA, HITRUST, GDPR), with a primary focus on securing sensitive data (ePHI) in transit and at rest.
- Implement robust security protocols (authentication, authorization, encryption) designed for the sensitive nature of the data and applications.
- Technical Leadership:
- Serve as the primary technical leader, translating complex feature demands into detailed technical specifications for engineering, data science, and DevOps teams.
Required Qualifications- Experience: 8+ years in software development and 5+ years in a Solution or Enterprise Architecture role.
Core Stack Proficiency:
- Expert-level proficiency in designing and building scalable backend systems using Golang.
- Deep experience with PostgreSQL, including performance tuning, replication, and data modeling for high-volume, real-time data.
- Experience with ReactJS architecture in a high-state, real-time application context.
Specialized Architecture:
- Proven experience architecting real-time, event-driven systems (e.g., using WebSockets, gRPC, or message brokers) for secure, low-latency data transfer.
- Demonstrable experience with AI/ML data pipeline architecture and MLOps principles.
- Infrastructure: Proven experience architecting and managing solutions on DigitalOcean and handling the complexities of a hybrid (cloud/on-premise) infrastructure, including networking and security considerations.
- Compliance: Expert knowledge of and experience implementing technical controls for data privacy and security regulations (e.g., HIPAA).
Preferred Qualifications- Domain Expertise:Significant experience in Healthcare IT and proven knowledge of the data, security, and real-time requirements of telehealth and clinical data applications. (A Plus)
- Prior experience building or integrating with real-time video conferencing technologies (e.g., WebRTC).
- Experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes) for managing deployments across DigitalOcean and on-prem servers.
- Knowledge of healthcare interoperability standards such as FHIR (Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources) for data exchange.
