Job Description

WHY WE NEED THIS POSITION

We are looking for someone who genuinely lives on the internet, understands social culture, and has a strong feel for how working professionals talk, joke, vent, and connect online. This role is responsible for turning conversations around office life, work culture, and the everyday realities of working professionals into a long-term content strategy for the brand.

ROLE & MISSION

• Ensuring the brand participates meaningfully in relevant social conversations.

• Translating cultural trends and online behaviors into actionable content direction.

• Maintaining a consistent and culturally relevant tone of voice across platforms.

• Identifying reactive opportunities quickly and executing within 24 to 48 hours.

• Building sustainable community growth with a positive sentiment.

In short, this position aims to help the brand shift from simply managing social channels to truly belonging within the communities we seek to serve.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Community Immersion & Conversation Participation

• Monitor social media platforms, online communities, forums, and creator spaces where conversations around office life and workplace culture happen.

• Identify relevant trends, recurring themes, tensions, humor, language, behaviors, and formats that

resonate with working professionals.

• Conduct ongoing qualitative social listening to surface insights that can inform content and brand

storytelling.

• Map key topic clusters such as office drama, toxic productivity, meeting fatigue, deadlines, burnout,

manager relationships, workplace humor, career anxiety, and work-life balance.

2. Content Strategy Development

• Develop a content strategy centered on office life and workplace culture, aligned with the brand's

communication objectives.

• Build clear content pillars, content territories, and editorial directions for monthly, quarterly, and

campaign planning.

• Define the most relevant role for the brand in these conversations — whether as a voice of empathy,

relief, motivation, support, or perspective.

• Propose scalable content series and long-term platforms, not just reactive trend-based posts.

3. Creative Direction and Content Planning

• Work closely with internal teams and external partners to turn social insights into content ideas and

campaign directions.

• Write clear briefs for always-on content, reactive content, campaign content, creator collaborations, and community-driven initiatives.

• Recommend platform-appropriate content formats such as short-form video, memes, static posts,

carousels, storytelling, POVs, roleplay, office confessions, and episodic content.

• Ensure content feels culturally relevant and socially native while staying aligned with the brand's tone and identity.

4. Collaboration and Optimization

• Partner with social, creative, influencer, community, and production teams to bring ideas to life.

• Track performance, extract learnings, and refine content direction based on audience response and

platform behavior.

• Continuously stay up to date with shifts in social behavior, platform culture, and audience expectations.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 2 to 4 years of experience in social media strategy, content strategy, creative planning, community

insight, trend research, or cultural strategy.

• Has a deep understanding of and is actively engaged in Gen Z. Preference will be given to candidates who have worked with brands targeting Gen Z.

• Regularly reads discussion groups, follows Threads, stays updated on TikTok trends, and enjoys

workplace memes.

• Proven experience developing social content for brands, especially those looking to build relevance within everyday consumer culture.

• Experience in agencies, social-first teams, publishers, media platforms, or community-led environments is a plus.

KEY COMPETENCIES

• Deeply immersed in internet culture and online communities.

• Naturally curious about how people behave, speak, and engage online.

• Able to spot cultural signals early and translate them into brand opportunities.

• Both creative and structured in thinking.

• Comfortable moving between insight, strategy, and execution.

BENEFITS

• Competitive salary package aligned with experience

• Collaborative working environment with creative, strategy, and production teams

• Flexible working culture that values ownership and proactivity

• Annual leave, public holidays, and team engagement activities

• Access to training resources and learning opportunities.
