Growtrics is an AI-powered EdTech company building an adaptive learning platform that helps students master Mathematics and Science through personalised, interactive, and deeply engaging experiences. We combine cutting-edge AI models, multimodal learning, and delightful product design to deliver a new category of learning outcomes.
Role Overview
This is a full-time, on-site Senior UI/UX Designer role based in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. We are looking for a Senior UI/UX Designer to own and continuously improve the end-to-end product experience of our learning platform. This role is strongly product and UX-centric, with an emphasis on user flow clarity, learning experience quality, and data-informed iteration.
You will work primarily in Figma, collaborate closely with engineers and a Rive animator, and use user behavior insights to design, test, and refine experiences for students and parents. While the role includes some creative and brand-related design work, the core responsibility is product UX ownership.
This role is ideal for designers who enjoy systematic product thinking, clear interaction design, and improving real user outcomes — not just making things look good.
Key Responsibilities
1. End-to-End UI/UX Design Ownership (Product Experience)
- Own and maintain all core product user flows in Figma, including: Onboarding and trial experience, Daily learning loops, Progress tracking and feedback, Motivation and reward systems
- Lead the full design cycle: User research, Journey mapping, Wireframes, Interactive prototypes, High-fidelity UI
- Design clear, intuitive, and cognitively appropriate interfaces for web and mobile.
- Act as the single source of truth for how the product experience is structured and intended to behave.
- Ensure consistency, usability, and clarity across all screens and interactions.
2. UX Analytics, Insights & Optimization
- Analyse UX-level data such as: Funnel drop-offs, Screen engagement, Interaction friction.
- Use tools such as GA4, Firebase, session replays, or equivalent to identify experience issues.
- Translate behavioral data into concrete design improvements, not just reports.
- Continuously iterate designs based on qualitative and quantitative insights.
3. Experimentation & A/B Testing
- Propose and design UX-focused A/B tests to improve: Activation, Engagement, Retention
- Design test variants in Figma with: Clear hypotheses, Defined success metrics
- Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to: Review results, Iterate and refine designs
4. User Research & Learning Experience Quality
- Conduct lightweight, ongoing usability testing with students and parents.
- Observe real user behavior to uncover: Confusion, Friction points, Unmet learning needs
- Run mini research sessions, competitor analysis, and UI pattern reviews.
- Synthesize findings into actionable UX improvements that enhance learning outcomes.
5. Motion & Engineering Collaboration
- Collaborate closely with the Rive animator to: Define animation states, Document interaction intent within Figma
- Define UX states and behaviors clearly so motion and engineering teams can implement accurately.
- Review implemented experiences with both interaction logic and motion quality in mind.
- Work closely with engineers to ensure feasibility, clarity, and design intent are preserved.
6. Design Systems, Structure & UX Foundations
- Audit and clean up legacy design flows, screens, and inconsistencies across the product.
- Establish and implement a coherent design system with reusable components and scalable patterns.
- Define clear UX and interaction principles that guide all product decisions.
- Build and maintain a design bible — a single source of truth covering UI standards, UX patterns, and product behavior.
- Introduce structure and best practices across Figma files, libraries, and workflows.
- Create a strong foundation that enables faster iteration, consistency, and long-term product quality.
7. Supporting Creative & Brand Design (Secondary Focus)
While the role is product-first, you will also support selected creative needs when required:
- Design pitch decks and product storytelling materials.
- Create simple visuals for: Website banners, Product launches, Educational or marketing campaigns
- Ensure brand consistency across product and supporting materials.
- Produce simple motion or animated assets when relevant to product or learning experience.
We are currently operating in a fast-moving, unstructured environment without a fully consolidated design system or clearly defined UX principles. A key part of this role is bringing order, clarity, and scalability to our product design foundation.
This is a true 0 → 1 responsibility. We are looking for someone who is not just comfortable operating in ambiguity, but energized by it — someone who takes ownership in transforming messy systems into clean, scalable, and thoughtful product experiences.
Soft Skills & Values (Must-Have)
- Independence & Initiative: Ability to learn quickly, work autonomously, and solve problems logically in a fast-moving, AI-assisted environment.
- Clear Communication: Ability to articulate design decisions and UX reasoning clearly in English, and raise issues early when needed.
- Product-Oriented Creativity: Creativity grounded in usability, clarity, and measurable outcomes — not just aesthetics.
- Agility: Comfortable adapting to changing priorities, experiments, and evolving product directions.
- Result-Oriented Mindset: Assessed based on the quality, clarity, and timeliness of delivered work — and its impact on users.
- Good at English Communication.
