We are seeking a passionate and experienced Senior Game Designer to join our mobile game studio in Hanoi. In this role, you will take ownership of core design initiatives, bridging the gap between high-level feature concepts and technical execution. You will be instrumental in shaping the player experience to deliver world-class mobile titles.
Key Responsibilities
Concept Development & Prototyping
- Ideation: Lead the creation of new game concepts, systems and mechanics. Collaborate with others in the design team to refine, finalize and ship.
- Documentation: Translate high-level directives and ideas into comprehensive, quantified technical specifications and GDDs.
- Iterative Design: Drive development and prototyping processes, rapidly testing and refining core loops and new features.
Leadership
- Feature Ownership: Act as the primary stakeholder for features in development, ensuring alignment between product/design intent and final output.
- Technical Oversight: Manage game balance, economy, data structures, and player progression systems.
- Creative Direction: Resolve complex design challenges during production and inspire the team through creative leadership.
Job Requirements:
- Proven Expertise: Significant experience in professional game design, specifically within the mobile space.
- Strategic Thinking: Strong analytical skills with the ability to deconstruct successful game loops and economies.
- Prototyping Skills: Proficiency in creating coherent design mocks and wireframes quickly.
- Communication: Excellent command of English (written and spoken) to collaborate effectively with a diverse international team.
- Adaptability: A proactive, self-driven mindset.
- Location: Ability to relocate to Hanoi, Danang or HCM city, Vietnam. We provide comprehensive support for relocation.
We Prefer Candidates Who Have:
- Strong understanding of the mobile F2P market with emphasis on midcore mobile games.
- Previous experience in working with big IP and managing partner relationships.
- Previous experience working on mobile game development.
- Familiarity with relevant software and tools (sheets, Figma, AI, Unity, etc).
- Native English speakers and/or foreigners are preferred.
