Job Description:
At SPX, our franchise network is a key driver of our nationwide delivery capacity and service excellence. As a Senior Associate -Strategy & Planning, you will work at the core of our efforts to scale and strengthen this network, enable scalable growth and operational excellence across our franchise network.
This role is responsible for shaping and executing strategic initiatives that ensure our franchise model remains competitive, efficient, and aligned with business growth targets. You will collaborate across regional operations, BI, finance, and senior leadership to plan network expansion, improve partner performance, and ensure franchisees are set up for long-term success.
You'll need a sharp analytical mind, strong business acumen, and an ability to turn data into action - all while thriving in a high-speed, operationally intensive logistics environment.
1. Franchise Growth, Network Strategy & Expansion
- Design and execute franchise network strategies, including territory planning, partner segmentation, and expansion models.
- Identify franchise growth opportunities through volume forecasts, service coverage analysis, and market trends.
- Recommend territory expansion plans, new franchise models, and network optimization initiatives.
2. Framework Design
- Develop and maintain tools to track franchise performance and operational efficiency.
- Conduct cost-benefit analyses to guide route planning, franchise allocation, and resource use.
- Design partner frameworks, including tiering, incentives, and transition processes with risk mitigation and training support.
3. Data Analysis & Business Insights
- Collaborate with BI, OPEX and Ops teams to build dashboards and tools for tracking KPIs across regions.
- Perform deep-dive analysis into low- and high-performing areas deliver insights that lead to actionable improvements.
- Monitor the effectiveness of newly implemented strategies and report outcomes to senior stakeholders.
4. Project Management & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Lead or support strategic franchise projects (e.g., onboarding model redesign, network optimization, franchise enablement programs).
- Act as a central point of coordination across Franchise Ops, Legal, Finance, and Regional Ops to align goals and project execution.
- Drive continuous improvement by identifying pain points in franchise operations and contributing to system/process enhancements.
5. Governance & Stakeholder Reporting
- Prepare executive-level reports, strategic updates, and presentations for leadership and franchise councils.
- Ensure project timelines, risk assessments, and reporting mechanisms are in place for all key franchise initiatives.
- Support contract design, contract renewals, partner reviews, and compliance evaluations as part of regular franchise governance.
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of experience in business strategy, consulting, performance management, or franchise planning - ideally in logistics, transportation, or e-commerce.
- Excellent analytical skills with hands-on experience in Excel, SQL, and BI tools
- Strong understanding of logistics operations, delivery flows, and performance metrics in a fast-moving environment.
- Clear and persuasive communication skills, both written and verbal confident in presenting to leadership.
- High attention to detail, with the ability to manage complex projects and multiple stakeholders.
