About the Role:
We are looking for dynamic, creative, talented, and committed Design Engineers to deliver an extraordinary pipeline of new products for one of the fastest-growing consumer product companies in the world.
This role is responsible for driving new product design and development across a wide range of projects.
LOCATION: Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam
Here are some of the EXCITING things you'll get to do:
- Design and develop innovative product solutions in a fast-paced team environment.
- Provide solid modeling and prototype support for technology and new product development projects.
- Apply sound engineering principles to refine concepts into reliable designs that meet performance, compliance, product integrity, and aesthetic requirements.
- Design for manufacturability (DFM) across Southeast Asia and global production environments.
- Generate detailed part specifications, drawings, and documentation.
- Clearly communicate design intent to team members and manufacturing partners.
- Conduct product prototyping and testing; prepare test requests and obtain quotes from internal and external sources.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives for existing products.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver 5-star products to consumers.
- Work across multiple product categories within the Shark and Ninja brands.
- Generate and develop creative ideas for both new and existing products.
- Communicate with global teams to ensure design specifications and KPIs are achieved.
- Lead problem-solving efforts, design optimizations, and root cause investigations to develop innovative solutions for consumers worldwide.
- Travel to China and Southeast Asia to support project delivery and supplier collaboration.
What We Expect:
- Minimum 6 years of experience in high-volume consumer product development (floor care product experience preferred).
- Strong proficiency in 3D CAD.
- Design experience across multiple manufacturing processes, including plastic injection molding, die casting, sheet metal fabrication, machining, and assembly.
- Proven experience working effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
- Strong knowledge of design processes, including DFMEA, FEA, and DFM.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to identify issues and drive timely solutions.
- Strong command of written and spoken English.
- Ability to work in flexible, adaptive teams and processes that embrace change and uncertainty.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to work under pressure and overtime during peak project phases when required.
- Detail-oriented, versatile, well-organized, articulate, and professional.
Education/Certifications/Affiliations
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Mechatronics, or a related field.
Travel Requirements
- Travel to China and Southeast Asia supplier factories as required.
