About the Role
Mechanical Design Engineer in the R&D Department.
Responsibilities
- Structural Design: Lead the structural design for new products, focusing on both metal frameworks and plastic components.
- Drafting & Documentation: Generate detailed 2D engineering drawings and manage Bill of Materials (BOM) creation.
- Validation & Testing: Oversee product testing submissions, assembly validation, and prototype verification.
- Design Review: Organize and lead design review meetings to evaluate drawings and structural feasibility.
- Problem Solving: Identify, verify, and resolve technical issues throughout the entire product development lifecycle.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical structural design.
Required Skills
- Project Leadership: Proven track record of leading new product development (NPD), including managing design validation and troubleshooting during the development process.
- Software Proficiency: Expert-level proficiency in SolidWorks.
- Industry Background: Prior experience in the fitness equipment, home appliances, or small-to-medium machinery manufacturing sectors is highly preferred.
- Full Lifecycle Experience: Must have successfully led at least one complete product project from concept design to mass production.
- Language Skills: Functional English reading and writing skills; conversational speaking ability is required for communication with international R&D teams.
- Language: Chinese basics required, English preferred.
