You will be responsible for building a robust supplier pipeline and strengthening supply resilience by discovering, qualifying, and developing world-class manufacturing partners across key Fashion categories. This role acts as a critical bridge between market opportunities and long-term business needs, ensuring our supplier base is scalable, compliant, and capable of delivering exceptional value to our customers.

Location: Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

About The Team

At Walmart, our Fashion business thrives on a resilient and innovative supply chain that delivers quality at Every Day Low Prices (EDLP). We foster a collaborative, fast-paced environment where data-driven insights and operational excellence drive our ability to diversify our global footprint and safeguard continuity of supply.

About The Role

This is a high-impact leadership role for a strategic professional who excels at pipeline management and technical supplier assessment. You will move beyond traditional sourcing to lead the end-to-end qualification and readiness enablement of new partners. Navigating a complex, matrixed global environment, you will have the autonomy to identify supply risks, close capability gaps, and present data-backed proposals to senior leadership that shape the future of Walmart's Fashion supplier matrix.

What You'll Do

  • Build Strategic Supplier Pipelines: Proactively research and source high-potential supplier prospects using industry networks, advanced databases, and global events to align with enterprise category strategies.
  • Execute Rigorous Qualification Frameworks: Define comprehensive supplier profiles and qualification criteria to evaluate capacity, quality systems, compliance readiness, and scalability.
  • Deliver Data-Backed Recommendations: Analyze supplier strengths, performance gaps, and macro-environmental risks to present strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Enable Supplier Readiness: Partner directly with new suppliers to close capability gaps through structured onboarding support, readiness plans, and clear performance expectations.
  • Drive Supply Resilience & Diversification: Expand and sustain a diverse global supplier base to reduce concentration risk and improve redundancy across key Fashion geographies.
  • Lead Cross-Functional Alignment: Collaborate with category, sourcing, quality, and legal partners to ensure a seamless transition from prospect identification to approved supplier status.
  • Optimize Program Tracking: Maintain structured, digital documentation of the supplier pipeline health, qualification milestones, and development outcomes to ensure absolute transparency.
  • Accelerate Growth Through Partnership: Coordinate internal resources and subject matter expertise to accelerate supplier time-to-market and improve long-term partner viability.

What You'll Bring

  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Fashion Merchandising, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related technical field.
  • Professional Experience: 10+ years of progressive experience in supplier development, sourcing, or supplier qualification within the retail or manufacturing sectors, specifically within Fashion.
  • Technical Authority: Deep expertise in assessing manufacturing capabilities, including quality management systems, compliance standards, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Analytical Fluency: Strong ability to synthesize complex supplier data and market intelligence into clear, actionable business narratives and strategic proposals.
  • Strategic Stakeholder Management: Proven success in managing multiple workstreams and influencing cross-functional partners in a global, matrixed organization.
  • Operational Excellence: A meticulous approach to maintaining structured pipeline documentation and tracking KPIs related to supplier readiness and onboarding outcomes.
