About The Role
This is a critical leadership role for a technical expert who thrives on translating complex data into actionable value. Reporting to the Director of Costing Excellence , you will manage a team of Senior Analysts to execute Should-Cost modeling and Clean-Sheet analysis at scale. You will serve as a key cross-functional liaison, utilizing advanced analytics to troubleshoot supply chain constraints and drive continuous improvement in our global costing ecosystem.
What You'll Do
- Execute Value Engineering Strategies: Implement sophisticated costing frameworks and methodologies that align with departmental profitability targets and global business goals.
- Master Should-Cost Analysis: Oversee day-to-day Clean-Sheet benchmarking, breaking down costs to raw material, labor-minute (GSD), and factory overhead levels to identify value unlock opportunities.
- Integrate ESG & Sustainability: Incorporate ethical labor costs and sustainable material variables into financial models to ensure long-term supply chain resilience.
- Drive Digital Transformation: Utilize and contribute to the development of AI-driven costing tools, predictive analytics, and digital platforms to enhance margin transparency.
- Optimize Total Landed Cost (TLC): Track and report on raw material volatility, manufacturing shifts, and supply chain costs to provide real-time updates on margin risks.
- Facilitate Supplier Negotiations: Partner with Sourcing teams to provide the technical data and should-cost benchmarks necessary for high-stakes vendor negotiations.
- Champion Continuous Improvement: Identify process enhancements and implement best practices in costing operations to drive efficiency across the global sourcing network.
- Lead & Develop Talent: Manage, coach, and mentor a team of Senior Analysts, fostering a culture of professional growth and technical excellence.
- Partner Cross-Functionally: Collaborate with Merchandising, Product Development, and Sourcing to facilitate product launches and margin improvement initiatives.
What You'll Bring
- Education: Master's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, or Fashion Merchandising; MBA preferred.
- Professional Experience: 7+ years of progressive experience in costing, sourcing, or supply chain management within apparel retail, including direct exposure to manufacturing operations.
- Technical Expertise: Strong proficiency in Should-Cost methodologies, cost modeling, and data-driven negotiation strategies.
- Leadership Presence: Demonstrated experience leading teams and managing complex projects within a fast-paced, global matrixed environment.
- Digital Fluency: Advanced orientation toward AI and technology, with significant experience using digital analytical tools and the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strategic Communication: Excellent presentation and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional partners.
- Market Intelligence: Deep understanding of global sourcing markets, supplier management, and fashion industry trends.
- Operational Rigor: Proven project management and planning expertise with a focus on achieving key business KPIs.
