Senior General Accountant

Company Description

We are seeking a Senior General Accountant to strengthen our Finance team. Reporting directly to the Finance Controller, this role will ensure accuracy and timeliness in financial reporting, handle complex accounting entries, and provide insights to management. You'll also act as a subject matter expert in accounting standards and tax regulations.

What you'll do

• Record, review, and adjust complex accounting entries.
• Reconcile data across departments and detailed reports.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Support consolidation if the company has multiple entities.
• Analyze cost, revenue, and cash flow variances, and flag significant issues to management.
• Review bank transactions, invoices, and contracts.
• Support internal and external audits; ensure compliance with tax and accounting laws.
• Share expertise and provide guidance to junior team members.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Auditing, or Finance.
• 3–5 years of experience as a General Accountant or in a related role.
• Strong knowledge of VAS (IFRS/GAAP is a plus), and tax regulations.
• Solid financial analysis skills; ability to detect variances and propose solutions.
• Proficiency in advanced Excel and accounting software.
• Detail-oriented, proactive, responsible, adaptable, and able to work independently or in a team under pressure.
• Good command of English.

Preferred qualifications

• ACCA, CPA, or in-progress certification.
• Experience in multinational or FDI companies.
• Consolidation experience is an advantage.
