Senior DevOps Engineer

Key Responsibilities

Cloud Infrastructure & Platform Engineering

• Design, build, and maintain scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Architect and optimize systems to support high-throughput, low-latency trading workloads.
• Manage Kubernetes-based environments and containerized applications across development, staging, and production environments.
• Implement infrastructure automation and provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform.

CI/CD & Automation

• Design and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines to enable reliable and efficient software delivery.
• Collaborate closely with Software Engineers to streamline build, testing, deployment, and release processes.
• Develop automation scripts and tools to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
• Continuously optimize deployment workflows, release cycles, and platform reliability.

Monitoring, Reliability & Security

• Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability solutions across the platform.
• Ensure system performance, uptime, and operational excellence through proactive monitoring and incident management.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure, deployment, and application-related issues in production environments.
• Drive security best practices, compliance standards, and disaster recovery initiatives.

Collaboration & Innovation

• Work closely with Engineering, Product, and Security teams to support business growth and platform scalability.
• Evaluate emerging DevOps technologies and recommend improvements to architecture, tooling, and operational processes.
• Mentor team members and promote DevOps best practices across the organization.

Requirements

Technical Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 6+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps, Cloud Infrastructure, Site Reliability Engineering, or Platform Engineering roles.
• Strong experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services including:
• Compute Engine
• Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE)
• Cloud Networking
• Cloud Storage
• IAM and Security Services
• Proven experience building and managing large-scale, highly available cloud environments.
• Strong expertise in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred).
• Experience designing and managing CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, or similar platforms.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python, Bash, Go, or similar languages.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong understanding of Linux systems administration, networking, and security best practices.
• Experience implementing monitoring and observability solutions such as Prometheus, Grafana, Cloud Monitoring, and Cloud Logging.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting financial services, fintech, cryptocurrency, or high-frequency trading platforms.
• GCP Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer or other relevant cloud certifications.
• Experience with AWS and/or Azure environments.
• Knowledge of service mesh, distributed systems, and microservices architectures.
• Familiarity with incident management, SRE principles, and reliability engineering practices.
