Senior DevOps Engineer

About the Job:

As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will lead the construction, optimization, and monitoring of company's IT infrastructure. Your primary focus will be on leveraging Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to build a resilient, automated environment. You will drive Infrastructure as Code (IaC) initiatives to ensure the scalability and security required for a high-volume financial services ecosystem.

Job Description:

1. Lead the development of high-quality, impactful, and scalable products and systems to achieve business goals.
2. Cloud and System Management Responsibilities (GCP) :

• Administer virtual machines, container services, databases, storage solutions, and other cloud resources
• Ensure optimal performance, high availability, scalability, and robust security across all cloud environments
• Implement and maintain comprehensive backup and disaster recovery solutions
• Infrastructure Optimization
• Monitor and optimize data center costs
• Stay current with emerging cloud technologies and implement infrastructure improvements
• Establish and automate access management policies for cloud services

2. Infrastructure as Code (IaC) - Manage Cloud Services

• Maintain and develop IaC scripts and templates
• Enhance configuration management tools and processes
• Implement automation for consistent and reliable infrastructure deployment

3. Collaborate closely with engineering managers and engineers across multiple platforms and domains

4. Support to recruit, develop, and retain exceptional engineering talent who excel in innovative, user-focused, fast-paced environments

5. Establish and maintain high engineering standards for your team regarding quality practices, delivery speed, architecture, design, and code quality, with clear, measurable goals

6. Contribute to the improvement and scaling of the engineering organization by mentoring engineers, sharing technical knowledge, industry best practices, and leadership skills

Requirements & Qualifications:

Must have requirements:

1. Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform. (3+ years preferred, AWS-heavy backgrounds with 3+ yrs GCP in the last 5 yrs are welcomed).

2. Familiarity with DevOps, SRE, Platform Engineering.

3. Have experience with Kubernetes . Having CKA Lisence is Plus.

4. Have experience with system design.

5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Others:

1. Has team collaboration awareness, able to work cooperatively with team members. Experience in Scrum is a plus.

2. Good communication skills and logical thinking/judgment abilities.

3. Proactive and self-motivated to learn.

4. Possesses or is willing to learn multiple languages (including Chinese, English, Vietnamese) to effectively communicate with the team.
