About the role:
We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer with a strong software engineering background to take end-to-end ownership of Infrastructure, CI/CD, and System Operations.
This is not a traditional operations role. We are seeking someone who can deeply understand system architecture, read and debug code (C#/.NET preferred, Node.js is a plus), and operate a complex Hybrid Infrastructure (Azure, AWS & On-premise).
You will act as the technical bridge between Development and Operations to ensure platform stability, scalability, and performance.
What you will do:
1. Deployment & Infrastructure Management
Architect and operate systems across multiple environments: Azure, AWS, and On-premise.
Build and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines (Build, Test, Deploy) to ensure seamless delivery.
Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and write scripts to automate provisioning and configuration.
2. Database Operations & Migration
- Administer MySQL and PostgreSQL databases, ensuring data integrity and high performance.
- Plan and execute safe Database Migrations (e.g., On-prem to Cloud, or cross-cloud) with minimal downtime.
- Perform query optimization, indexing, and database tuning.
3. Development & Architecture (Dev-Ops Hybrid)
- Utilize C# (.NET) (Preferred) and Node.js (Preferred) skills to debug production issues deeply.
- Collaborate with the Product Team to review system architecture and ensure code is ops-friendly.
- Develop internal tools/scripts to streamline operational workflows.
4. Monitoring & Incident Ownership
- Proactively monitor system health using tools (e.g., Signoz, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Cloud-native monitors).
- Act as the primary owner during production incidents, performing Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
- Resolve critical issues related to infrastructure, connectivity, or application logic.
5. Cross-team Technical Collaboration
- Work closely with Backend, Infrastructure, and Product teams
- Provide operational insights and risk assessment for system changes
- Act as a trusted technical point of contact for system reliability
What we're looking for:
- 4+ years in Software Engineering, with experience in DevOps / Platform / SRE
- Hands-on experience working with distributed systems / microservices
- Experience operating cloud infrastructure (Azure or AWS); exposure to hybrid (Cloud + On-prem) is a plus
- Experience working with MySQL or PostgreSQL in production environments
- Hands-on with Docker, Kubernetes & CI/CD pipelines
- Able to troubleshoot production issues; experience reading backend code (.NET is a plus)
- Comfortable handling production incidents and collaborating across teams
Nice to have:
- Experience in database migration projects (on-prem cloud or cross-cloud)
- Experience with Node.js applications
- Familiar with monitoring / logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, etc.)
- Experience with event-driven or asynchronous architectures
- Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code
