Your Impact
As a Senior DevOps Engineer at Checker, you will play a key role in ensuring that:
- Field data collected from mobile users is reliable, secure, and always available
- Research projects and dashboards run smoothly across regions
- Engineering teams can deploy features quickly without risking platform stability
- Security and compliance are embedded into the infrastructure from day one
What You Will Do
- Own and operate production cloud infrastructure supporting a global SaaS platform.
- Design, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines for frequent and safe releases.
- Deploy and manage containerized services using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Administer and optimize Linux-based systems powering backend APIs, data processing, and dashboards.
- Manage multi-cloud environments across AWS, GCP, and Azure as required by products and regions.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code and automation to ensure consistency and scalability.
- Monitor system health, performance, and data pipelines; respond to incidents and perform root cause analysis.
- Apply strong security practices to protect customer data, survey responses, and internal systems.
- Work closely with backend, frontend, QA, and product teams to support feature rollouts and platform growth.
- Continuously improve availability, scalability, and cost efficiency.
What We're Looking For
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience in DevOps / SRE / Cloud Engineering roles.
- Strong English communication skills and fluent Vietnamese are required.
- Strong experience with Linux system administration in production environments.
- Proven hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Docker.
- Solid experience with cloud platforms: AWS, GCP, and/or Azure.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD, deployment strategies, and environment management.
- High security awareness, especially around:
- IAM and access control
- Secrets management
- Network security
- Protecting sensitive customer and research data
- Experience supporting data-driven or SaaS platforms with high availability requirements.
- Ownership mindset and ability to work independently in a global product team.
- Clear communication skills and strong problem-solving ability.
Nice to Have
- Experience with SaaS products serving global users.
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Experience with monitoring & observability (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, CloudWatch).
- Understanding of data pipelines, background jobs, or analytics systems.
- Experience supporting mobile-backed platforms or real-time data ingestion.
- Knowledge of cloud cost optimization in long-running SaaS systems.
