Job Description

Role Overview

The Overseas Sales Manager will be fully responsible for market development, channel expansion, key account management, and sales performance in the assigned territory. This role plays a critical part in growing regional revenue, strengthening brand presence, and establishing long-term partnerships with distributors and end users.

Key Responsibilities

1. Market Development & Sales Execution

  • Conduct in-depth market research to analyze industry trends, customer needs, and competitive dynamics.
  • Develop and execute annual and quarterly sales strategies to achieve revenue and collection targets.
  • Identify and acquire new customers while maintaining and expanding existing client relationships.
  • Manage the full sales cycle including lead generation, quotation, tendering, contract negotiation, order execution, and payment collection.

2. Channel Management & Partner Development

  • Identify, evaluate, and develop local distributors and business partners to build a sustainable sales channel.
  • Provide product training, technical guidance, and commercial support to channel partners to enhance sales effectiveness.

3. Customer Relationship Management & Technical Support

  • Understand customer applications and coordinate with the Beijing technical team to deliver tailored solutions and after-sales support.
  • Conduct regular visits to key accounts to gather feedback, improve customer satisfaction, and build strategic long-term relationships.
  • Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and urgent issues in a timely and professional manner.

4. Marketing & Brand Promotion

  • Plan and participate in local exhibitions, industry conferences, technical seminars, and product launch events.
  • Work closely with the headquarters marketing team to localize marketing materials and strengthen brand awareness in the local market.

5. Reporting & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Provide regular sales reports, market analysis, and competitor intelligence to headquarters.
  • Share insights on local market needs and provide suggestions for product improvement and portfolio optimization.

Requirements

1. Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or above; engineering background (Mechanical, Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, Instrumentation, or related fields) is preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of B2B sales experience in scientific instruments, laboratory equipment, or industrial equipment.
  • Experience with grinding systems, centrifuges, or sample preparation equipment is a strong advantage.
  • Proven track record in overseas market development with strong understanding of the local business environment.

2. Sales & Business Competencies

  • Strong hunting and closing skills with the ability to independently develop new markets and achieve sales targets.
  • Solid experience in distributor/channel development and management.
  • Good understanding of B2B sales processes, project-based selling, and key account management.
