GENERAL MISSION
. To actively sell and provide banquet product ensuring that space is utilized to its best advantage and to maximize departmental profit.
. To ensure the smooth running of the banquet service, setting performance standards for guest services.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND MEANS
. The MICE Sale Manager performs his/her function within the framework defined by the DFB, the hotel's Policies & Procedures and following the country's laws and regulations.
. He/She will ensure the maximization of sales of the banquet function rooms and will see to it that banquet functions (including outside catering) be carried out punctually in order to fulfill both quests expectations and departmental objectives in terms of profitability.
ADMINISTRATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES
. To maintain an efficient MICE sales filling system following company guidelines.
. To prepare the monthly reports to the DFB following company guidelines.
. To maintain all records and forms as prescribed by the local, hotel and management policies.
. To write and update the Departmental Operations Manual.
. To follow operating standards on the use of the computer.
. To provide the DFB and Purchasing Manager with detailed product and purchase specifications for all items needed in the outlet.
Financial responsibilities:
. To ensure that department's operations budget is adhere to and that all costs are strictly controlled.
. To assist the DFB with the preparation of the annual operating budget.
. To manage the outlet as a separate profit center assuming responsibilities for all revenues and expenses.
. To maximize employees productivity through efficient scheduling and training in order to keep the payroll cost at its minimum.
TECHNICAL RESPONSIBILITIES
General:
. To ensure that all operating standards comply with company and Hotel Policies & Procedures and minimum standards.
Guest Service:
. To assist the Banquet Operation in establishing guest service standards ensuring that they meet the needs of the market.
. To supervise the employees within Banquet outlet ensuring that correct standards and methods of service are maintained.
. To ensure that all guests are treated with courtesy and handled efficiently.
Product:
. To develop or modify the product to meet the market needs whenever possible.
COMMERCIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
. To identify market needs and trends
. To monitor and analyze the menus and products of the competition.
. To implement an effective sales plan and promotional activities for the department.
. To define an effective selling approach in coordination with DOSM to be used by the sales account executives.
. To develop menus, theme parties, coffee breaks and meeting set up with the DFB, Executive Chef which meet the needs of the market.
. To develop a banquet merchandising folder and other promotional materials to be used as effective sales tools.
. To assist the DOSM and DFB in implementing an effective sales plan and promotional activities for the department.

. Graduated from College/University in Sales & Marketing, Hotel Management, Business administration or related field preferred
. At least 2-3 years of relevant experiences or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experiences, preferably experience in international 4-5 star hotel/resort
. Languages: English and other languages would be a plus
. Power Point TARSOpera
. 05 working days or 40 hrs per week.
