Job Description

The primary responsibility of this Vietnam-based role is to drive sales across Vietnam by independently identifying, opening, and nurturing project opportunities, while also expanding and developing Dextra's professional and distribution networks, for Dextra's four core product lines: CRP, Precast, Bar Systems, and Geotec.

This role requires a mid-level Sales Engineer with an existing network in the construction industry (consultants, engineers, contractors, and potential distribution partners) and a strong ability to engage projects at early design and specification stages. The position involves a blend of direct project sales, strategic network development, relationship building, and disciplined execution to position Dextra's products as the preferred and specified choice in the Vietnam market.

Key Responsibilities

Project Identification and Opportunity Management

  • Project Pipeline Development: Proactively identify and access projects with high sales potential across all Dextra product lines within the assigned territory, leveraging an established professional network. Maintain and update the project pipeline on a monthly basis to reflect new opportunities, progress on existing projects, and shifts in priority.
  • Early-Stage Engagement: Focus on projects at concept, feasibility, and early design stages to maximize specification and technical influence.
  • Forecasting and Planning: Update monthly sales forecasts to ensure inventory levels and production capacities are aligned with project demands, coordinating with the Regional Sales Manager for adjustments as needed.

Client Engagement and Solution Selling

  • Client Presentations and Solution Proposals: Conduct tailored technical and commercial presentations for designers, consultants, engineers, contractors, and distribution partners to showcase Dextra's solutions.
  • Technical and Product Recommendations: Gather client and project insights to identify needs, propose fit-for-purpose technical solutions, and clearly articulate Dextra's value proposition, with the objective of securing product specifications and approvals in projects.
  • Product Development and Improvement Recommendations: Proactively suggest product improvements or developments based on market feedback and emerging client needs.

Sales Strategy and Execution

  • Strategy Development: Collaborate with Management and Product Line Champions to develop targeted sales strategies and annual action plans for each product line, covering both direct project sales and partner-driven opportunities. Execute these plans with autonomy and accountability, adjusting approaches based on market dynamics and competitor activity.
  • Quotation and Pricing Management: Prepare sales quotations aligned with Dextra's pricing policy, margin expectations, and project environment, submitting recommendations for final approval by the Regional Sales Manager when required.
  • Goal Setting and Performance: Contribute to setting sales targets and objectives and consistently strive to meet or exceed agreed goals within the assigned territory.

Relationship Management, Partner Development & Market Intelligence

  • Distribution Partner Development: Identify, evaluate, and propose potential new distribution partners aligned with Dextra's positioning, compliance, and long-term strategy. Support the onboarding and activation of approved partners in coordination with Management.
  • Existing Partner Growth: Develop and strengthen relationships with existing distribution partners through regular engagement, technical support, joint project pursuit, and opportunity tracking.
  • CRM and Reporting: Organize regular follow-up visits to track project and partner activities, maintaining accurate CRM records of activities, project status, partner opportunities, and specification progress. Submit concise weekly reports covering sales activities, pipeline movement, risks, and next actions.
  • Market and Competitor Insights: Systematically report key information on competitors, pricing trends, channel behavior, and industry developments gathered through client and partner interactions.

Strategic Business Development and Brand Promotion

  • Industry Engagement: Represent Dextra at technical seminars, exhibitions, industry events, and client forums to promote products and solutions, strengthen brand visibility, and expand professional networks.
  • Business Development Leadership: Actively lead strategic business development initiatives to expand Dextra's market presence, nurture long-term partnerships with key stakeholders (consultants, contractors, owners, and distributors), and secure early positioning on high-impact and strategic projects.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or higher degree in civil engineering
  • Demonstrated success of at least 5 years in technical product sales, project sales, or engineering roles within the construction or infrastructure industry in Vietnam.
  • Fluent in Vietnamese with professional working proficiency in English.
  • Good computer literacy (MS Office)
  • Familiar with CRM systems and reporting tools
  • Established network with consultants, engineers, contractors, and relevant distribution partners.
  • Proven ability to open doors, influence early specifications, and operate independently.
  • Self-driven, trustworthy, and commercially disciplined.
  • Able to work independently and travel frequently.
  • Based in Hanoi or HCMC-based.
