I. GENERAL INFORMATION
1. Job Title: Quality Engineer (Electrical)
2. Report to: Quality Manager
3. Working Location: Trelleborg Vietnam Factory - Phu My 3 Specialized Industrial Park, Ba Ria & Vung Tau Province, Vietnam (Shuttle bus will be provided from 3 locations: Ho Chi Minh City, Bien Hoa City, and Vung Tau City).
II. SUMMARY OF THE ROLE
- Manage quality in the scope of customer quality, process quality, and supplier/out-sourced quality in accordance with ISO9001 requirements and factory quality system.
III. TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Implement and execute company quality management system requirements and continuously improve.
- To establish and review the quality documents (e.g. control plan, WI, test procedures, MDR, etc.)
- Responsible for customer complaints; communicate with customers on quality issues.
- Day-to-day production quality management and deal with quality problems, and to organize, implement, and follow up on corrective and preventive measures.
- Develop and monitor metrics relative to claims, scraps, rework/repair.
- New project quality development and management.
- Manage supplier quality, to control supplier qualification, be responsible for component release, and deal with supplier quality issues.
- Build up quality inspection and testing capability in factory.
- To monitor, analyze, and improve the quality situation in the production process.
- Supervise the FAT.
- Manage the quality documentation.
- Responsible for planning & coordinating the quality audit, such as customer-designated audit, Layered Process Audit, Product audit, Supplier Audit. 3rd-party audit, etc. Summarize and follow up on audit issues.
- Train and equip the staff with quality awareness and knowledge.
- To support other departments and follow up on tasks given by superiors.
- Other ad-hoc report/project assigned by Direct Manager.
IV. ABOUT THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
- Bachelor's degree, major in engineering.
- More than 5 years experience in Quality Management in industry.
- Experience in setting up quality controls.
- Experience in both Mechanical, Hydraulics & Electrical products
- Experience in QC for different processes, e.g., casting, welding, machining, fabrication, and assemblies etc.
- Experience in both managing in-house and outsourced processes.
