QA/QC Manager

Role Description

Responsible for setting up QA/QC management system (PQP, ITP and checklist)

Responsible for the management of the QC team including mentoring, scheduling their activities, recruitment and performance management of the team members.

Monitor all quality related activities on the project.

Prepare and develop the overall project Quality Assurance Plan and effectively monitor implementation of QA / QC guidelines and procedures during the project lifecycle.

Review Sub-contractor's Quality Assurance Plan and provide feedback and approval as necessary.

Ensure that the Contractor, Sub-contractors, and other members of the project team observe Quality Assurance guidelines, and report violations of procedures.

Establish a document coding structure for all documents as required.

Establish and maintain consistent and adequate administration procedures to ensure that all information is current and that the Project Team receives the latest information.

Ensure that electronic and hard-copy project documentation is filed and stored in a methodical and secure manner and establish archiving procedures as required.

Conduct periodic Quality Assurance Audits.

Making plan, preparation and management of all mandatory documents as regulation with authority for checking and accepting the building completion.

Review documentation and provide feedback on how documentation could be improved.

Monitor forms usage, ensure that adequate site records are maintained, and provide Non-Conformance Records (NCRs) as required.

Audit processes and procedures, the issuance and follow up of NCRs and monitor trends to verify that meaningful corrections and corrective actions are proposed, approved and implemented in a timely manner, to prevent recurrence.

Prepare and maintain relevant QA / QC logs.

Prepare applicable QA / QC reports.

Ensure that appropriate QA / QC procedural training is delivered.

Carry out analysis on lessons learned.

Participate in meetings on the site as required.

Implement the QA/QC management work by Digital tool (Dalux app).

Qualifications

Degree qualified in Engineering.

Minimum 8+ years of relevant experience on construction projects including a minimum of 5+years experience managing construction teams.

Fluency in written and spoken English is a pre-requisite.

Intermediate working knowledge of software used in project management including: Microsoft Project, Excel and the Microsoft Office Suite.

Advanced technical skills in construction management, and especially industrial construction, with the ability to train and mentor others to develop further their skills in contractor(s) management, safety, quality management, and site-based design management.

Results-oriented mindset, ability to handle pressure situations, and strong commitment to deliver turnkey projects on time and within budget and quality.

Advanced attention to detail, particularly in respect to contractual requirements, design/site drawings, quality of construction works and construction standard methods.

Advanced written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to write clear reports, site instructions/memos and meeting minutes that are clear and understandable.

Intermediate leadership skills, ensuring teams are well motivated, organized, able to provide clear direction and manage conflict.

Intermediate client management skills, including demonstrable persuasiveness, negotiation skills and inter-personal skills.

Previous experience managing multicultural project teams in an expatriate environment in Asia would be a plus.

Willingness to work on a daily basis and work overtime as required.

Willingness to control the QA/QC management work for several projects at the same time as required.
