Job Description:
Strategic Planning & Project Leadership
- Lead end-to-end planning and execution of strategic SPX projects
- Drive initiatives such as new service rollouts, operational improvements, and strategic growth initiatives
- Evaluate and execute new business opportunities including service expansion and new logistics solutions
- Develop project roadmaps, business cases, implementation plans, timelines, and performance tracking frameworks
- Manage project risks, dependencies, and cross-functional alignment to ensure successful delivery
Procurement & Vendor Management
- Oversee procurement activities for operational and strategic requirements across SPX Express
- Lead vendor sourcing, evaluation, negotiation, contracting, and performance management
- Build and manage supplier relationships to ensure cost efficiency, reliability, and service quality
- Drive procurement governance, compliance, and risk management standards
- Partner with Business Intelligence & Finance on budgeting, forecasting, and cost planning
Business Analysis & Problem Solving
- Analyse large and complex datasets to identify operational gaps, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities
- Translate insights into actionable recommendations for leadership decision-making
- Conduct deep-dive analyses across key topics such as:
- Driver incentive effectiveness
- Driver performance and productivity
- Service quality improvement initiatives
- Cost efficiency and optimisation opportunities
Cost Optimisation & Operational Efficiency
- Drive initiatives to reduce operational cost while maintaining service quality
- Identify opportunities to improve procurement efficiency and vendor cost structures
- Support development of savings pipelines in partnership with Finance and Operations stakeholders
- Continuously improve processes to enhance productivity and execution efficiency
Stakeholder Management & Execution Leadership
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders across Operations, Commercial, Product, Finance, Legal, Government Relations, and Regional teams.
- Lead project working groups and ensure alignment across multiple stakeholders
- Drive structured decision-making in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to capability building within the function
Requirements:
Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Management, Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in strategy, project management, procurement, operations, consulting, or supply chain-related roles
- Strong experience in logistics, e-commerce, transportation, or high-growth technology environments
- Proven track record of leading cross-functional projects from ideation to execution
- Prior experience in procurement, vendor management, or commercial negotiations is highly preferred
Skills & Competencies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to work with large datasets
- Advanced proficiency in Excel SQL / Tableau / Power BI is a plus
- Strong project management and execution capabilities
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
- Strong business acumen with ability to balance cost, operations, and customer impact
