Role Overview
As a Product Owner, you will play a critical role in shaping our products by defining requirements, prioritizing features, and ensuring smooth collaboration between stakeholders and development teams. You will be responsible for maximizing the value of our products by maintaining a clear product vision and roadmap.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a Scrum Team product and project owner on several high impact deliverables.
- Product: Vision: Set priorities, create a roadmap, and establish clear objectives for the technology team responsible for building and enhancing the product.
- Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including cross-functional teams and business units, to understand their needs, translate them into technical solutions, features user stories and create/maintain proper documentation.
- Prioritization: Prioritize requests, pushing back when necessary, in order to keep the team focused on delivering impactful solutions. Grooming and prioritization of the backlog.
- Collaboration & Expectation Setting: Partner with technology teams (Engineering, QA, Design) to meet the overall release plan at the project and team level, understand blockers/limitations and their impact on the product and relevance to end users. Create and communicate release and launch plans in coordination with the Business and Engineering teams.
- Measure Success: Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and user feedback to identify opportunities for improvement and drive continuous enhancements (feedback loops).
- Facilitate Agile Ceremonies: Participation in Quarterly Planning, Grooming, Iteration Planning, Daily Scrums, and Retrospectives.
- Market Trends: Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices related to insurance and user experience.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or a similar role in a tech-driven environment.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum and Kanban.
- Experience working with blockchain and AI technologies is a plus.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to balance business needs with technical feasibility.
