Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

As a product owner on the team, you will be responsible for:

  • Creating and driving the product/component roadmap with research and business/engineering stakeholders to create impactful features for the target users;
  • Understanding how our customers interface with our products and owning the customer experience - defining user flows and working closely with UX design to enhance the customer experience.
  • Facilitating discussions and driving sprint planning sessions with the engineering team - incorporating their priorities and constraints
  • Defining comprehensive business requirements and user-stories - with strong emphasis on market/customer context, business rationale, impacting KPIs/metrics, and clear acceptance criteria to guide product development;
  • Owning the product/component backlog and facilitating the full lifecycle of moving from idea, to design, to prototype testing, to development, and then to release.
  • Owning the timelines and quality of deliverables of the scrum teams
  • Maintaining the software documentation with new features and enhancements

Requirements

Must Have

  • A demonstrated track record of achievement;
  • 2-3 years of experience working as a Product Owner / Business Analyst in deep-tech products preferably having Robotics or AI domain and applications understanding;
  • Fluent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Strong ability to identify business problems, drive solutions, and objectively measure the impact through KPIs/metrics;
  • Product mindset and the ability to think MVP and focus on the highest priority features for development
  • Exceptional analytical problem-solving skills and experience working with technical teams
  • Exceptional interpersonal communication, relationship management, and organizational skills in cross-functional international teams;
  • Experience in product lifecycle management and Agile development (epics and user stories – creation, prioritization, backlog grooming, etc) is highly desirable
  • An entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to succeed in a fast-paced environment;

Good to Have

  • Experience in robotics, manufacturing, artificial intelligence, and developer APIs.
  • BS/MS in a technical degree (e.g. Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Math) or work experience of comparable technical content;
  • Product Owner certification
  • Proficient in Japanese (JLPT N2 and above)
