Required Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in IT in a technical role (e.g., systems/admin,
support, QA, development, pre-sales, or similar).
1+ year of experience in Product Management or Project
Management in a software/infrastructure product environment.
Fluent English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience working with technical teams and turning customer
problems into clear, actionable product requirements/specifications.
Desired Qualifications:
Experience with backup & recovery or disaster recovery concepts.
Hands-on experience with virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware,
Hyper-V, Proxmox, Nutanix).
Basic understanding of infrastructure:
storage (e.g., NAS/SAN, object storage/S3)
networking (TCP/IP, bandwidth/latency basics)
Comfortable using data and tools to make decisions (e.g., basic SQL,
APIs, or BI tools like Power BI/Tableau).
Responsibilities:
Conduct competitive research across direct and indirect competitors.
Monitor industry trends, market shifts, and emerging technologies.
Analyse customer demand and segment needs using qualitative and
quantitative inputs.
Customer Insight & Problem Discovery
Communicate with customers to understand goals, workflows, and
challenges.
Analyse support tickets and customer pain points to identify recurring
issues and improvement opportunities.
Product Strategy & Roadmapping
Build and maintain a product roadmap aligned with company goals and
validated customer needs.
Manage competing priorities and make evidence-based trade-off
decisions.
Adapt the roadmap based on new data, shifting priorities, and evolving
requirements.
Requirements & Feature Design
Gather requirements for new features and enhancements from
stakeholders, customers, and internal teams.
Design features from the user perspective, focusing on usability, value,
and end-to-end scenarios.
Develop clear and complete functional specifications.
Define solutions to known problems and defects, ensuring clarity for
engineering teams.
Handle requirement changes throughout the development lifecycle in a
structured and controlled manner.
Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Collaboration
Conduct meetings with internal and external stakeholders to align
expectations and share updates.
Collaborate closely with engineering, QA, sales, marketing, support, and
operations teams throughout the product lifecycle.
Ensure smooth knowledge transfer to cross-functional teams during
pre-release and post-release phases.
Enablement & Communication
Educate cross-functional teams on upcoming and newly implemented
functionality.
Contribute to customer-facing enablement materials, demos, or training
as needed.
