You will be responsible for leading the strategy and development of the Database as a Service (DBaaS) product group on the Greennode platform, including Oracle, MSSQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, etc., to deliver a modern, stable, secure, and easy-to-operate database service for enterprise customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the DBaaS product based on market needs, customer behavior, and technology trends
- Gather and define product requirements (PRDs), prioritize features, and work closely with the engineering team to execute
- Design the service operating model: provisioning, scaling, upgrades/patching, backup/restore, HA/DR, security, and monitoring
- Analyze usage, performance, and cost data to optimize the product and maximize operational efficiency
- Manage the full product lifecycle: ideation development launch iteration scaling
- Collaborate with Engineering, SRE, Infrastructure, Security, and Business teams to ensure product quality, reliability, and delivery timelines
- Work with Product Designers to optimize UI/UX and improve user experience
- Partner with Product Marketing to build positioning, messaging, and go-to-market materials
- Contribute to product documentation, user guides, internal training, and support the sales team in presales/technical activities as needed
- Participate in incident analysis (RCA) and propose improvements to enhance service stability
- Define and track product KPIs: adoption, revenue, SLA, cost efficiency, churn rate, etc
Requirements:
Must-have:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
- At least 23 years of experience as a Product Manager in cloud, SaaS, technology platforms, databases, or infrastructure
- Strong understanding of at least one DBMS: Oracle, MSSQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or distributed databases
- Solid knowledge of concepts such as HA, replication, sharding, indexing, backup & recovery, and monitoring
- Experience working directly with engineering/SRE/DevOps teams
- Strong analytical mindset and ability to make data-driven decisions
- Strong communication, cross-functional collaboration, and product management skills.
Nice-to-have / Preferred
- Experience building or operating a DBaaS service (similar to AWS RDS, Google Cloud SQL, Azure Database, etc.)
- Experience in consulting, implementation, or supporting B2B customers in the IT domain
- Understanding of Kubernetes, Database Operators, cloud-native storage, Ceph, or distributed systems.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
- A technical background (Software Engineer / System Engineer / DBA) is a strong advantage.
