Job Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with customers and external product/prototype development partners to research new technologies and create new product ideas
- Translate conceptual ideas into engineered solutions that align with marketing validation programs and project launch schedules
- Provide engineering support for product & packaging design and quality requirements, select appropriate production processes and testing methods to meet various specifications
- Set up and maintain product specifications & quality requirements in the system
- Cost estimation and quote review
- Provide cost saving ideas to reduce the product cost
- Evaluate product and packaging constructions
- Oversee risk assessment and mitigation activities to ensure adherence to safety standards and functional compliance requirements from concept to mass production
- Assesses new supplier capabilities and supports ongoing supplier development
Requirement
- 3- 5 years product development / project engineering working experience in the paper / toys / home textiles / ceramic / wood / gift & premium industry
- Knowledge on toys and consumer product safety standard (Globally, including US, CAN, UK/EU, AS/NZ, Japan)
- University graduate in Mechanical / Production / Electronic Engineering or equivalence with experience in pre-press and packaging / mechanical / electronic toy design, plastic injection and tooling experience is preferable
- Familiar with concept development and prototyping processes
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
- Excellent in English communication (Mandarin is not a must but will be advantage)
- Domestic and oversea travel is required
