About The Team
The Procurement Strategy & Market Insights team plays a key role in shaping the organization's sourcing strategy to drive cost efficiency, supplier value, and business resilience. This role leads strategic planning for procurement categories, conducts deep market intelligence, identifies risks and opportunities, and provides decision-ready insights to senior leadership. Partnering closely with BI/FPnA, Finance, Legal, Operations, and other Business Units, this role ensures alignment between procurement strategy and evolving commercial needs.
Job Description
Strategic Procurement Planning
- Develop and manage long-term category strategies across key spend areas (e.g., Facilities, Equipment, Indirect services, OPEX/CAPEX)
- Build cost-saving pipelines and track execution to ensure organizational targets are met
- Define demand planning frameworks and align procurement strategy with business growth plans
- Evaluate make-or-buy decisions, supplier consolidation, and localization opportunities
Market and Supplier Intelligence
- Conduct market research on supplier landscape, pricing drivers, technology/industry trends, and regulatory impacts
- Monitor supplier financial health, geopolitical risks, and supply-chain vulnerabilities
- Benchmark cost structures versus competitors and alternative sourcing regions
- Build a market insights library to support negotiation preparation, risk mitigation, and strategic planning
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with BI/FPnA, Finance, to ensure budgets and forecasted spends align with sourcing strategies
Work closely with Legal to strengthen contract standards and reduce risks
- Support Operations on procurement governance and execution excellence
- Present category strategies, market updates, and business cases to senior leadership
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Economics, or related fields (Master's/Procurement certifications a plus)
- 4-6 years of experience in strategy consulting, category management, or supply chain planning, preferably in e-commerce or FMCG
