To be responsible for sourcing and negotiating with suppliers to maximise the benefits and optimise the procurement cost for the company
Job Description
- Supplier Research: Conduct research to identify potential suppliers and gather information on market trends and pricing
- Data Analysis: Analyse procurement data to support decision-making and strategy development
- Request for Proposals (RFPs): Prepare and manage RFPs and evaluate responses to select suitable suppliers.
- Supplier Evaluation: Assist in the evaluation of suppliers by gathering information on their capabilities, financial health, and market reputation
- Contract Negotiation: Lead negotiations efforts with suppliers to secure favorable terms and agreements
- Delivery coordination: Ensure timely delivery of goods and services
- Supplier Performance Tracking: Monitor and report on supplier performance, identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with agreed standards
- Relationship Management: Assist in maintaining effective communication and relationships with suppliers to address issues and enhance collaboration. Act as the primary contact point between the company and its suppliers where needed.
- Cost Management: Participate in initiatives to reduce costs while maintaining quality and service levels.
- Problem Solving: Address any problems that arise in procurement or supplier relationships, escalate issues to the team lead as necessary
- Market Analysis: Stay informed about market trends, emerging suppliers, and new technologies to ensure the company remains competitive
- Risk Assessment: Contribute to risk assessment processes to identify potential issues in the supply chain and develop mitigation strategies
- Collaboration with Internal Teams: Work with other departments to align procurement activities with business needs
- Compliance: Ensure all sourcing activities comply with legal requirements and company policies
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree of Supply Chain Management, Economics / Business, Foreign Trade
- At least 02 years of experience in procurement
- A quick learner with good research, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Good communication skill
- Excellent organisational and negotiation skills
- Highly motivated with a desire to learn
- Attention to detail, the ability to multitask
- Good at problem solving and stakeholder management.
