Position Summary

As a world leader in cordless technology spanning Power Tools, Outdoor Power Equipment, Floor Care Appliances and Accessories, at TTI we are dedicated to improving the lives of homeowners and tradespeople around the world through innovation.

As a Principal engineer of Calendering & Laser Slitting Process Engineering, you will lead the activities of process control, parameter setting, troubleshooting, staff coaching, Cpk improvement, continuous optimization and upgrading of existed line, documentation preparation, also get involved in new equipment design, layout planning, production ramp-up.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will have opportunities to access the latest battery cell Calendering & Laser Slitting manufacturing technologies around the world and shape the innovative battery cell solutions for meeting TTI's power output and energy storage requirements for a variety of products.

  1. As a process member, work together with whole team to solve process issues. Deal with all kinds of parameters setting, solve abnormity, keep good records, continue to improve product yield and quality.
  2. Complete the daily confirmation of process status, prevent potential failures, and continuously reduce the yield loss and quality issue.
  3. Optimize and upgrade current process. Work with R&D and equipment team to search for high efficiency and stable processes, which can meet our new process requirement.
  4. Prepare all process related documentation, such as CP, PFMEA, SOP, WI, ENW. Update it when there's a change.
  5. Consider equipment structure, floor layout and capacity balance when doing process DOE , test, verification.
  6. Monitor quality items SPC trend, focus on abnormity, use statistical approach to analyze, report and follow up.
  7. Effectively communicate the ideas and results both internally and externally.

Qualifications

  1. BS or MS degree in science or engineering (Machinery, Automation, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering are preferred).
  2. 5+ year experience with Calendering, Laser Slitting process engineering.
  3. Multi-strip coated pattern electrode experience is preferred.
  4. Knowledge of emerging cell manufacturing process/equipment technologies is preferred.
  5. Deep-in knowledge of 6sigma DOE.
  6. Strong problem-solving skills driven by curiosity and attention to details.
  7. Fluent in English and Chinese is preferred.
