Role Description

The Solution Architect / Presales Engineer is responsible for leading the technical solution design throughout the pre-sales lifecycle. This role translates business and technical requirements into scalable, secure, and cost-effective architectures across telecommunications and IT platforms. Acting as the technical authority in customer engagements, the SA ensures solution feasibility, performance, and alignment with industry best practices and CMC Telecom's service portfolio.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Telecommunications, Computer Engineering, Networking, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 25 years of experience in Solution Architecture, Presales Engineering, or Technical Consulting roles within Telecom/IT environments.
• Strong hands-on knowledge in one or more domains:

# Networking & Connectivity: MPLS VPN, SD-WAN, routing/switching, IP backbone design.

# Cloud & Data Center: Private/Public Cloud architectures, hybrid integration, virtualization, storage, and infrastructure security.

# Cybersecurity: Network and application security architecture, firewalls, WAAP, vulnerability management, and risk mitigation.

# Managed Services / ITO: Service design, operational models, SLAs, and transition to delivery teams.

# Wholesale Services: Carrier-grade services, interconnection models, and partner-facing solutions.

• Proven ability to design end-to-end solution architectures, including network diagrams, system integration flows, and technical costing models.
• Experience responding to RFI/RFPs, conducting technical presentations, and leading solution discussions with enterprise or carrier customers.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to balance technical depth, operational feasibility, and commercial considerations.
• Proficiency in technical English for architecture documentation, solution proposals, and technical discussions.

Skills

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and solution architecture design skills.
• Professional communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence and persuade customers. Technical English proficiency (reading technical documentation and basic communication).
• Ability to prepare clear, detailed, and well-structured technical documentation.
