Job Description
- Architect and design end-to-end solutions, leveraging your expertise in Node.JS and JavaScript
- Provide hands-on leadership by actively participating in coding, especially in Node.JS, and setting coding standards.
- Collaborate closely with client stakeholders to gather requirements, understand business needs, and propose effective technical solutions.
- Create architectural diagrams, including UML and C4 diagrams, to communicate and visualize complex technical concepts.
- Mentor and guide engineering teams to ensure the successful implementation of architectural strategies.
- Champion best practices in design patterns, architectural patterns, and coding standards throughout the development lifecycle.
- Conduct thorough code reviews to maintain high code quality, scalability, and adherence to architectural guidelines.
- Develop and maintain unit tests to ensure the reliability and stability of the codebase.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between architectural vision and implementation.
- Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies, sharing knowledge and insights with the team.
What are we looking for
- 7+ years experience in software development using Node.js
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a team lead.
- Proficient in JavaScript/ TypeScript; Node.JS
- A focus on detail including around automated tests and documenting your code
- Experience debugging and optimising web applications for speed and scale
- An agile mindset and the ability to adapt to changing priorities and requirements
- Pride in your work and a desire to contribute to a small team of dedicated and talented people
- An understanding of what we're doing (and why) and a passion to get involved
- Fast learner excited to develop new skills
- Leadership skill
