Role Purpose
As a member of the merchandising team, you will contribute to our long-term sourcing strategies by managing various relevant activities at tactical and operational levels, while extensively working with different stakeholders in and outside the business across regions.
Key Responsibilities
- Support implementation of merchandising strategies.
- Independently manage merchandising activities including but not limited to scouting new vendor, quotation and onboarding paperwork for multiple brands across the platform.
- Coordinate with X functional teams across global functions (Product, Development, QA, Planning) to ensure critical path adherence
- Seasonal costing management, validation, and negotiation with vendors.
- Word closely with Vietnam-based outerwear factories on development, sampling, costing, and production readiness
- Identify and resolve development and costing issues independently and proactively
- Build strong supplier relationships and drive continuous improvement in cost, quality and lead time
- Vendor relationship management and regular business reviews.
- Support sourcing and market intelligence research on global supply chain and sourcing.
- Support ad hoc projects as required and studies as assigned along reporting line.
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree holder. Business or supply chain related discipline is a plus.
- 4-5 years of merchandising experience in apparel, preferably in outerwear.
- Solid understanding of the outerwear product knowledge / construction as well as fundamental use of fabric, trims and manufacturing processes.
- Sound knowledge of supply chain management on global basis.
- Proven experience working directly with garment factories in Vietnam
- Strong knowledge of supply chain operations, development / production calendars, and factory capacity management.
- Strong communication skills in a multi-cultural environment.
- Able to work independently, manage priorities, and solve problems effectively
- Proactive, confident, and outgoing personality with strong factory-facing communication skills
- Analytical and problem-solving skills. Attention to details.
- Proficient in MS office, including Excel (pivot tables & xlook up).
- Knowledge of AI, SAP, PLM or other ERP systems is a plus.
