In this role, you will be instrumental in the Battery Cell Institute, using your extensive skills to process and analyze large volumes of data. You will collaborate with diverse teams, including Engineering, Quality Control and VINFAST suppliers, to create cutting-edge solutions that will drive the future of transportation.
- Analyzing test data and to improve battery properties and/or managements system
- Construct cell assembly test line, Gathering of validation data and analysis
- Introduce and evaluate materials for improvement of battery performance and safety
- Documentation for cell production: Work order preparation, Preparation of product specification
- DOE (Design of experiment) activities: Cross-checking the materials stock in the inventory, Follow-up the DOE status with technicians, Data gathering during DOE
- Work with members of a laboratory team under the direction of team lead and a manager to improve routine cell construction processes.
- Prepare electrodes, assemble cells and testing
- Handle a wide range of conventional and proprietary battery materials while carrying out typical dry and wet lab operations.
- Assemble a variety of battery prototypes including coin, pouch.
- Develop handling and processing methods for new materials used in R&D or production of cells
- Help with inventory and supply management
- Assist with equipment installation, operation and maintenance.
- Perform all duties in a safe and efficient manner
Requirements
- Master, Bachelor degree in Chemistry/Physics/Material Science/ Mechanical/Chemical/ Electrochemical Engineering and related fields
- Experience in specific Li-battery development projects
- Experience of Battery devices fabrication and testing
- Work experience with coin/pouch/Cylindrical/Prismatic batteries and more in the specific components as well such as materials/Electrodes/Jelly roll
- Experience from R&D laboratory
- Experience with Lithium-ion battery performance and safety
- Comfortable handling chemicals and working in dry room, wet chemical room and glove boxes
- Cell postmortem experience preferred
- Strong background from technical culture and proven engineering excellence Extensive knowledge of cathode, anode, electrolyte, binder, conducting agent materials etc.
- Ability to work under high pressure and tight deadlines, excellent time management
- Ability to work well with others in a team environment, as well as independently
- Strong team player, able to interface with a variety of groups
- Good English skills (both written and oral)
- Advanced computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint)
