PURPOSE:

• To promote understanding of the first line as ownership of distribution risk matters.

• To provide advisory to strengthen internal control and improve operating procedure for preventing misconduct, fraud and customer detriment.

• To conduct independent reviews embeded with data analysis and report abnormal sale behaviours to relevant committees.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Align/coordinate between the first line and the second line in implementing Distribution Compliance policies.

• Monitor compliance risks across distribution channels.

• Lead compliance monitoring and testing plans, including building warning rules for independent monitoring at secondline side.

• Coordinate with the Investigation team and the firstline to review and investigate abnormal cases.

• Provide appropriate training for first line staff, promote risk awareness through training, workshops, communications and leadership engagement.

• Perform risk-based reviews on areas identified as major risks, agree with remedial actions and track the progress.

• Conduct distribution compliance reviews relating to the appropriateness and effectiveness of internal controls using a risk-based approach

• Advise business functions in reviewing policy, procedure, Memorandum, with matter related to Distribution Governance's scope of work

• Other tasks related as request.

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE

• BA in audit, finance, risk management or related fields, insurance industry experience is preferred.

• Familiar with three defense model lines and able to assist the 1st line to develop procedures and guidelines in business quality control.

• Ability to translate complex risks into practical terms for non-specialists.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence across levels.

• Strong problem-solving and data analytical skills with experience in designing misconduct rules.

KNOWLEDGE & TECHNICAL SKILLS

• Fluent 4 skills (speak, write, read, listen) English.

• Excellent in excel, power point presentation, and report preparation skill.

• Familiar with Power BI or Tableu is a plus.
