Machine Vision Engineer -Presales - Industrial Machine Vision

Overview
We are looking for a Solution Architect Industrial Machine Vision to join our Vietnam team. You will design and deliver end-to-end inspection solutions based on UnitX standard products, working closely with customers and internal teams. The role requires strong knowledge of industrial lighting and imaging, practical system integration skills, and the ability to communicate effectively in English. Understanding the capabilities and limitations of deep learning in industrial vision is essential. Knowledge of Chinese will be considered a plus.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with customers, sales, and engineering teams to deliver machine vision inspection solutions based on UnitX standard products.
- Plan and implement optimal lighting and imaging setups for diverse inspection scenarios.
- Integrate vision systems into industrial automation environments, including cameras, optics, lighting, motion control, and software systems.
- Conduct technical feasibility studies and proof-of-concept (POC) testing.
- Provide technical support and training for both customers and internal teams.
- Work with R&D teams to relay field requirements and drive continuous solution optimization.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree or above in Automation, Electrical Engineering, Optics, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields.
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in industrial machine vision projects.
- Deep understanding of industrial lighting and imaging principles.
- Familiarity with the strengths and boundaries of deep learning approaches in industrial vision applications.
- Practical knowledge of vision system integration (camera selection, optical design, illumination setup, mechanical installation, triggering/synchronization).
- Strong English communication skills; ability to work daily in English.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities, able to work independently under pressure.
- Willingness to travel for on-site project deployments.
Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)
- Proficiency with vision software and libraries (e.g., Halcon, OpenCV, Cognex VisionPro, Keyence).
- Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (EtherCAT, PROFINET, Modbus, etc.).
- Knowledge of automation systems, robotics, or PLC programming.
- Chinese language proficiency.
