As the founding ML Engineering Manager, you will be a strategic leader with deep technical expertise, responsible for hiring a world-class team and guiding them to solve complex challenges in web automation, language understanding, and intelligent systems.

• Build & Lead: Recruit, hire, and mentor a high-performing team of ML engineers and researchers. Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and execution.
• Strategize & Execute: Partner with product managers and US-based engineering leaders to define the technical vision and strategic roadmap for your team. Drive the execution of this roadmap to deliver predictable and impactful business outcomes.
• Provide Technical Guidance: Leverage your deep expertise in machine learning to guide architectural decisions, unblock complex technical challenges, and uphold high engineering standards through design reviews and mentorship.
• Deliver & Communicate Impact: Define and track key metrics to measure your team&aposs success. Effectively communicate progress, challenges, and results to stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
• Collaborate Globally: Act as the key engineering bridge between our HCMC and US offices, ensuring seamless collaboration and the successful delivery of joint initiatives.

• A bachelor&aposs degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience of 4+ years).
• 4+ years of software engineering experience, including hands-on technical management building and scaling ML systems, algorithms, or tools.
• 4+ years of coding experience in a language such as Golang, Python, C++, Scala, or Java.
• 2+ years of experience developing, coaching, and managing senior engineers or engineering leaders.
• Demonstrated success in building technical teams, including recruiting, performance management, and career development.
• Excellent command of both written and spoken English for effective collaboration with our US-based teams.

• An MS or PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related technical field.
• Experience in a specific ML domain relevant to our mission, such as Natural Language Processing (NLP), Large Language Models (LLMs), or Reinforcement Learning.
• Proven ability to lead projects in ambiguous, high-impact areas with evolving requirements.
• Experience working in a distributed team environment, collaborating closely with international counterparts.
