Position Overview:
The Logistics Specialist plays a crucial role in managing the seamless flow of goods, information, and documentation across the supply chain. This position covers shipment coordination, inventory control, warehouse management, and cross-functional support. The role requires operational excellence, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate with multiple departments to meet business goals
Key Responsibilities:
1. Shipment & Transportation Coordination
- Plan, schedule, and manage inbound and outbound shipments for both domestic and international markets.
- Liaise with HQ, WH, FWD, carriers, and customs brokers to arrange timely transportation.
- Track shipments, resolve delays, and proactively communicate status updates to stakeholders.
2. Documentation & Compliance
- Prepare, verify, and maintain all shipping documents: invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, certificates of origin, and customs declarations,.
- Ensure compliance with import/export regulations and company policies.
- Maintain accurate records for audits and reporting.
3. Warehouse & Inventory Management
- Monitor stock levels in warehouse(s) to ensure optimal inventory availability while minimizing excess or obsolete goods.
- Coordinate with warehouse teams for receiving, storage, and dispatch of goods.
- Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate inventory data in NetSuite/DMS/WMS systems.
4. Cost & Performance Optimization
- Verify freight and logistics-related invoices, ensuring accuracy and resolving discrepancies.
- Track and analyze KPIs such as on-time delivery, freight cost per unit, and warehouse efficiency.
- Identify opportunities to reduce costs while maintaining service quality.
5. Cross-functional & BOD Support
- Collaborate with HQ, BD, Finance, EC, MKT, Retail Operation, and customer service teams to align supply chain priorities.
- Provide logistics and inventory data to support decision-making across departments.
- Support additional projects and ad-hoc tasks as assigned by the BOD, including urgent business requirements and special initiatives.
6. Continuous Improvement
- Identify bottlenecks in logistics and warehouse operations, proposing process improvements.
- Participate in system enhancement projects and automation initiatives.
- Stay informed about market trends, freight rates, and new logistics solutions
7. Reporting & Data Analysis
- Prepare regular logistics and inventory reports for management (KPI tracking, shipment status, cost analysis, etc.).
- Analyze logistics and supply chain data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Support management with data insights for decision-making.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Business, or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in logistics, warehouse, or supply chain operations.
- Knowledge of shipping processes, customs regulations, and warehouse management best practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and NetSuite/DMS/WMS systems.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- English proficiency (Chinese is a plus).
