I. MAIN ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Internal Compliance
1. Legal Advisory and Compliance in Retail Operations
- Provide legal advice and ensure that advertising, promotions, retail operations, and marketing programs comply fully with relevant laws, including competition laws and consumer protection regulations.
- Draft, review, and advise on legal documents related to corporate governance, business licensing, and operational permits required for retail operations.
- Monitor, review, and standardize legal compliance processes across relevant departments to mitigate legal risks and ensure adherence to applicable regulations.
2. Compliance Training and Auditing
- Develop, implement, and conduct internal training programs on legal and compliance matters, covering topics such as advertising, consumer protection, licensing management, corporate governance, and retail-specific regulations.
- Perform compliance audits regularly or on an ad-hoc basis to assess the adherence of departments to legal standards and provide corrective solutions for continuous improvement.
3. Strategic Legal Consultation and Issue Resolution
- Advise and collaborate with senior management and relevant departments to identify and resolve legal issues arising from retail operations, providing strategic and practical legal solutions.
- Assist in preparing and representing the company in legal matters, such as engagements with government authorities, dispute resolution, or legal proceedings.
- Coordinate with external counsel or legal advisors to address complex or strategic legal matters effectively.
4. Legal Monitoring and Regulatory Updates
- Monitor, analyze, and update the company on new laws, regulations, and policies related to retail operations, advertising, promotions, and consumer protection. Assess their impact on business operations and propose necessary adjustments to ensure compliance.
- Develop and maintain an effective legal compliance management system to ensure the company operates within the legal framework and corporate governance standards.
5. Relationship Management with Authorities and Stakeholders
- Represent the company in interactions with government agencies and external stakeholders to address issues related to licensing, regulatory compliance, and retail operations.
- Foster positive relationships with regulators, ensuring prompt and smooth resolution of any legal matters that arise.

II. REQUIREMENTS
Education and Knowledge
- Bachelor of Legal
- Holding a lawyer practicing certificate is an advantage
Experience
- Minimum 8 years of experience in legal advisory, compliance, or regulatory roles, preferably in the retail, FMCG, or related industries.
- Strong knowledge of advertising laws, promotions, consumer protection, corporate governance, Retail store activities and licensing processes.
- Proven experience in compliance training, conducting audits, and resolving legal issues in a business environment.
- Experience working with government authorities and managing external legal counsel is a plus.
