Universal Robina Corporation is looking for a Legal Compliance Officer.

The Legal Compliance Officer ensures that the organization operates within the law government regulations. This role involves developing and overseeing compliance reviews, advising on legal risks, and fostering a culture of ethical conduct. The officer acts as a key liaison between the company and legal consultants, law firms and regional legal team from head office.

Legal Compliance Officer is based in HCMC office but may need to travel to different offices, plants as needed in the course of fulfilling his/her role.

What are the Roles and Responsibilities

Legal Compliance:

• Enforce legal compliance across all departments in the business unit.
• Handle review of contracts with internal and external parties as needed.
• Control trademark registration for all URC brands and ensure compliance with Intellectual Property regulations. Coordinate with IP lawyers for trademark infringement cases.
• Ensure updated corporate registration documents such as Enterprise Registration Certificate (ERC), Investment Registration Certificate (IRC), company stamp, Representative Office licenses, and other legal filings required for company operations.
• Support other departments as needed on their legal compliance tasks.
• Participate and lead projects as assigned by direct superior as related to legal compliance.
• Provide advice and support as needed with third parties as assigned.

Administrative Functions:

• Annual budget for legal
• Regular risk assessment related to legal compliance
• Coordinate with regional legal team from head office on necessary documentation
• Other ad-hoc relavant tasks assigned by superiors.

What are the Qualifications

• At least a Bachelors degree in Law or equivalent
• 3-5 years experience in legal compliance, legal risk management or regulatory affairs
• Strong knowledge of Vietnams legal environment
• Good analytical, problem-solving and interpersonal skills
• High ethical standards and with good attention to details.
• Good at Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Fair in English skill, both in speaking and writing skills.
