The Lead, HPV & Vaccines Consumer Marketing is responsible for leading a senior consumer marketing organization to drive endtoend strategy, execution, and performance for the HPV franchise, while also owning media and social capabilities that support consumer campaigns across the wider vaccines and priority product portfolio.

This role leads comprehensive HPV engagement across Healthcare Consumers (HCC), enables HCP and Healthcare Organization (HCO) impact in close partnership with Commercial CustomerFacing (CCF) teams, and ensures strong integration between consumer demand generation, professional recommendation, and institutional engagement. Acting with an enterprise mindset, the role makes decisions that optimize total business impact, not just brandlevel outcomes.

In addition to HPV ownership, this role manages the Media & Social team, providing scalable, bestinclass consumer campaign capabilities for HPV and other approved brands, while maintaining strong governance, prioritization, and compliance.

Primary Activities

  • Strategic & Portfolio Management
  • Lead the integrated HPV franchise strategy, aligning consumer demand generation, and HCP engagement, with enterprise and publichealth objectives.
  • Apply an enterprise decisionmaking mindset, balancing shortterm performance with longterm, sustainable portfolio growth.
  • Translate market, consumer, and customer insights into clear strategic priorities that drive demand, recommendation, access, and uptake.
  • Contribute to broader vaccines consumer marketing strategy through enterprise media and channel stewardship
  • Brand & Communication Management
  • Own HPV consumer brand strategy, driving awareness, consideration, preference, and intent to vaccinate.
  • Develop evidencebased, compliant, and culturally relevant messaging tailored to consumers, caregivers, and influencers.
  • Orchestrate omnichannel consumer communication across paid, owned, and earned channels, including digital, media, social, PR, and partnerships.
  • Ensure consistency, clarity, and effectiveness of brand expression across consumer touchpoints.
  • HCP & HCO Engagement Enablement (in collaboration with CCF)
  • Enable HCP engagement for HPV across multiple specialties by ensuring strong alignment between consumer demand generation and professional recommendation.
  • Partner closely with Medical to translate scientific evidence into clear, compliant value propositions for professional audiences.
  • Collaborate with Commercial CustomerFacing (CCF) teams to codevelop and support HCO strategies and engagement models, ensuring marketing intent translates into effective field execution.
  • Media & Social CenterofExcellence Leadership
  • Lead and develop the Media & Social team to provide media planning, buying, optimization, and social capabilities to support HPV and other consumer campaigns across the portfolio.
  • Establish clear prioritization, governance, performance measurement, and best practices for media and social execution.
  • Drive continuous improvement in media effectiveness, ROI, and compliant digital engagement.
  • Financial Management & Productivity
  • Own HPV marketing P&L, forecasting, and budget management, ensuring disciplined investment and strong ROI.
  • Optimize allocation of media and marketing resources across HPV and supported brands.
  • Monitor performance versus plan and provide datadriven insights and recommendations to leadership.
  • People Leadership & Capability Building
  • Lead, coach, and develop a diversified senior consumer marketing, media, and social team.
  • Build strong capabilities in consumer marketing excellence, omnichannel execution, analytics, and enterprise ways of working.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, innovation, inclusion, and continuous development.
  • Actively build succession pipelines and future leadership readiness.
  • Compliance & Governance
  • Ensure all consumer marketing, media, and engagement activities are scientifically accurate, ethical, and fully compliant with internal policies, SOPs, and pharmaceutical regulations.
  • Work closely with Medical, Regulatory, and Legal to maintain high standards of integrity and governance.

Education, Experience & Competencies

Desired Experience / Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare, Marketing, Business Administration or related field.
  • Master's degree is an advantage.
  • Significant marketing experience, including at least 2 years as a Marketing Manager with people leadership and business responsibility.
  • Proven experience leading consumer marketing and media capabilities.
  • Experience in multinational organizations; healthcare or pharmaceutical industry experience strongly preferred.
