Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- PhD degree in Mechanical Engineering/ Manufacturing Engineering or related fields,
- MS in same fields with 5+ years of experience
Education & Experience
- (MS) at least 5 years of related working experience in manufacturing environment of designing, developing and qualifying test systems.
- Relevant certifications a strong plus, such as CAM, CAD, GD&T, ISO, CMM, Lean/Kaizen, Black Belt, others. Working experience in manufacturing sites of precision machining, grinding, lapping/ polishing, advanced manufacturing, laser, EDM machining.
- Strong background with CAD, finite element analysis (FEA) and EC software
- Experience with manufacturing environment, including machining, grinding, lapping, handling and assembly
- Experience with inspection equipment, including CMM, interferometer, hand tools, visual tools, etc.
- Working knowledge of advanced materials, particularly ceramics
- Working knowledge of data analysis tools (SPC, MiniTab and DoE)
- Experience with problem solving and resolution (8D, fishbone, etc.)
- Demonstrated ability to lead team of engineers and technicians
- Hands on and very direct approach to problem solving
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience with networked PC based computer system.
- Experience with manufacturing systems, such as ERP and MRP.
- Proven track record of continuous improvement
- Measurement design experience is preferrable.
Skills
- Experience in well-developed fault isolation, problem solving & analytical skills.
- Experience in methodisation and improvement of measurement, test system.
- Experience in designing tools and fixture for optical testing systems.
- Experience in using SPC and other statistical methods.
- Experience in using CAD/CAM/CAE software
