Job Description

Role Summary

The Key Account Manager is responsible for driving sustainable growth of the company's pet nutrition portfolio by developing strategic partnerships with key retail customers. This role focuses on expanding market presence, executing commercial plans, and delivering sales targets while ensuring excellent customer relationships and business performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage long-term partnerships with key accounts in the pet specialty and modern retail channels.
  • Build and execute annual business plans to achieve sales, distribution, and profitability objectives.
  • Lead negotiations on pricing, promotions, product listings, trading terms, and commercial agreements.
  • Work closely with Marketing to execute product launches, in-store activations, promotional campaigns, and customer-specific initiatives.
  • Monitor sales performance, market trends, customer insights, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for business growth.
  • Ensure strong merchandising execution, product availability, and brand visibility across assigned accounts.
  • Manage sales forecasts, trade investments, and account performance to maximize business efficiency.
  • Work closely with logistics partners to coordinate product orders, monitor inbound shipments, and ensure smooth product supply to clients.
  • Identify new business opportunities and contribute to expanding the company's retail footprint.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Key Account Management, Sales, or Business Development within Pet Nutrition, Pet Foods, Animal Heath products or related industries.
  • Strong experience managing modern trade, pet specialty retailers, or key retail accounts.
  • Proven track record in commercial negotiation, customer relationship management, and delivering sales growth.
  • Good understanding of retail operations, category management, and trade marketing.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proactive, results-driven, and able to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Good command of both written and spoken English.
  • Willing to travel as required for customer meetings and business development activities.
