Junior Data & Analytics Specialist - Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam (remote working)
Our collaborative approach to analytics is unique: our consulting teams leverage a high-powered self-service toolkit to build the analysis that underpins our commercial recommendations.
As a Junior Data & Analytics Specialist, you will be working alongside these teams by providing guidance, training, and coaching, as well as building solutions to solve complex business issues. You will assist in providing appropriate, effective and efficient integration of D&A tools and techniques to help solve problems and answer hypotheses, ultimately helping clients to address critical business issues.
You will be part of a growing global Data & Analytics function with teams in US, Europe, and Australia.
While needs may vary on any given day, the main responsibilities for this role includes:
- Provision of support to members of both consulting support and junior consulting staff on standard D&A tasks that include, but are not limited to: data collection and collaboration, process automation, and data management
- Engage with colleagues to transfer both skills and knowledge through guidance, coaching and training
- Support junior consulting staff in the usage and subsequent implementation of D&A assets including proprietary analytical tools, datasets and additional IP
- Maintain, research and develop new analytical tools, datasets and IP including analyses that can be redeployed across other projects
- Contribute to the development of the D&A team through active engagement and relationship development with other team members both locally and globally
- Develop trusting relationships with colleagues across both junior consulting and core services staff to better understand their needs
- Demonstrate and continue to develop an understanding of advanced analytics and data management techniques to further the business and client goals where required
Skills And Qualifications
The role suits anyone with a passion for cracking commercial and analytical problems as well as enabling others to do the same.
In addition to technical skills, we are looking for bright and driven people who want to deploy analytics within high-impact commercial contexts. You should have some experience applying analytical tools and techniques to real world problems, visualising results through tools such as Tableau, PowerBI or similar. Any additional experience with Alteryx, machine learning, programming languages (Python, R), databases (SQL) or cloud applications is beneficial, but not essential.
You should have a sense of intellectual curiosity that inspires you to develop and generate innovative answers to complex questions. This role requires you to have at least an undergraduate degree with a quantitative focus, preferably in the Sciences. Full written and verbal proficiency in English is mandatory.
Where will you be working
While this is a remote working position, you should be based in Ho Chi Minh City to facilitate in-person collaboration on an ad-hoc basis with our team there.
You may also be asked to travel for work as required.
