1. Job Purpose
The IT Support Intern will support the day-to-day IT operations at Marou by providing first-level technical support to end users, assisting with hardware and software setup, and working closely with the IT team to help maintain stable, secure, and efficient systems.
2. Key Responsibilities
- Receive IT support requests from end users via ticket, email, phone, or in person; document issues clearly and track resolution progress.
- Assist with setup, configuration, and handover of desktops, laptops, printers, and related peripherals in line with company standards.
- Support installation, upgrade, and troubleshooting of common software such as operating systems, Microsoft Office/Microsoft 365, internal applications, and productivity tools.
- Diagnose and resolve basic IT issues related to hardware, software, LAN/Wi-Fi connectivity, user accounts, and access permissions.
- Support user onboarding and offboarding by preparing devices, creating accounts, retrieving assets, and updating asset records.
- Record, update, and close tickets in accordance with process requirements; maintain user guides, troubleshooting documents, and IT asset inventories.
- Coordinate with IT team members or vendors to escalate issues that exceed initial support scope.
- Comply with information security, data protection, IT asset usage requirements, and internal company policies.
- Perform other IT Operations/Helpdesk tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
3. Qualifications and Requirements
- Third-year, final-year, or recent graduate in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of Windows operating systems, office applications, computer hardware, printers, and basic networking.
- Good communication skills, service mindset, and a positive attitude toward end-user support.
- Careful, responsible, proactive in learning, and able to work within established processes.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively; willing to provide onsite support when required.
- Basic English reading and communication skills for technical documentation and workplace interaction are an advantage.
- Full-time internship for 6 months, from Monday to Friday (8:30 AM - 5:30 PM)
