Job Description
Job summary:
The Inventory Network Planning role owns network-level inventory positioning decisions across a large-scale, multi-warehouse logistics network.
Operating at the intersection of demand, supply, and network design, this role makes high-impact decisions on inventory re-allocation that directly shape service level, logistics cost, and inventory efficiency at scale. You will act as a decision owner, translating complex signals into clear, data-driven inventory actions across the network.
What Will You Do
- Own and contribute to network-level inventory positioning decisions across warehouses, based on demand and supply signals.
- Identify structural inventory imbalances and determine optimal re-allocation strategies at scale.
- Make and justify trade-off decisions between service level, inventory coverage, warehouse capacity, and transfer cost.
- Steer inventory health outcomes (e.g. DOH/WOS, aging, shortage) across the network, not just at individual warehouses.
- Partner with Operations and Planning teams to ensure planning decisions are translated into effective and consistent execution.
- Continuously refine planning logic, assumptions, and decision frameworks to improve network performance over time.
Requirements
Must have
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Economics, or related fields.
- 1–4+ years of experience in inventory planning, supply demand planning, consulting or related fields.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and structured thinking skills.
- Ability to make data-driven planning decisions in ambiguous situations.
- Comfortable owning high-impact decisions affecting multiple warehouses and stakeholders.
- Resilience under pressure and high adaptability in a fast-changing environment.
- Clear communication and stakeholder coordination skills.
- Strong Excel or data analysis skills; experience with BI or SQL is a plus.
Nice to have
- Exposure to large-scale, multi-warehouse logistics networks or regional supply chains.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders (Operations, Planning, BI, Tech).
- Ability to communicate insights clearly and confidently in English
