Role Description
This is a full-time remote role for an Interpreter Vietnamese Speaking. The Interpreter will be responsible for providing telephonic interpretation services to clients as needed. They will ensure that communication between client and non-English speaking customers is clear while maintaining confidentiality. Additionally, the Interpreter will provide excellent customer service to both clients and customers.
Qualifications
- Excellent listening, retention and note taking skills to maintain a high level of accuracy
- Ability to concentrate, stay detached from the conversation, and always remain neutral and objective
- Ability to quickly establish personal credibility
- Ability to follow client&aposs instructions closely
- Ability to explain certain cultural concepts to avoid miscommunication with the permission or at request of the client
- Minimum B2-C1 CEFR English Level bilingual or 7.0 IELTS with Vietnamese
- Able to work from home (remote from Vietnam) on a permanent basis
- Able to take night shifts (US Working Time). Earliest shifts start from 7pm; Last shift start from 5am (schedule will be arrange anytime within 7pm 5am)
Responsibilities
- Provide language interpretation from one language to another for individual with language barrier to understand and communicate to each other.
- Handling telephone or video calls on demand and renders meaning of conversations in the consecutive mode of interpretation between speakers of Vietnamese and English.
- Processes information quickly and concisely, recognizes sensitive cultural differences, and is always professional and courteous
- The interpreter will use appropriate industry terminology and understand common industry procedures and practices. The calls may involve simple or complex, non-technical or technical subjects in Healthcare, Government, Insurance, Finance, Utilities, Travel and Hospitality, 911 emergency services, Law Enforcement, Courts, and General Business.
