Job DescriptionIndustry: FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods)
KEY RESPONSIBILITIESMarket, Trend & Consumer Research
- Track and analyze domestic and international beauty industry trends, including ingredient trends, textures, packaging innovations, and new product formats
- Conduct market research to identify potential product opportunities and market gaps
- Research consumer behavior, pain points, and purchase motivations through desk research (e-commerce data, social media, customer reviews)
- Execute basic qualitative and quantitative research, such as surveys, interviews, and feedback analysis, to capture evolving consumer needs
Product Concept Development & Innovation
- Propose new product concepts that align with brand positioning and target customer segments
- Develop detailed formulation briefs for the R&D Lab based on market insights and brand strategic direction
- Partner with ingredient suppliers to explore innovative solutions and trending materials
- Participate in product sample evaluations and clinical testing, recommending improvements based on technical efficacy and user experience
Competitor Analysis & Brand Performance
- Research and analyze competitors products, pricing, claims, and positioning to identify strengths and weaknesses versus internal products
- Maintain regular competitor landscape reports and monitor brand health metrics, including awareness, consideration, perception, and loyalty
- Analyze customer feedback and post-launch commercial performance to propose product optimization strategies
Technical Support & Cross-functional Collaboration
- Support the preparation of product registration dossiers, advertising approvals, and necessary technical documentation
- Collaborate with the Brand Marketing team to shape product messaging, packaging content, and training materials
- Ensure insights are effectively translated into actionable recommendations and applied throughout the product development and communication phases
- Report periodically to the Head of Department
REQUIREMENTS- Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, or related scientific fields.
- 1+ years of experience in Market Research, Consumer Insight, or Product Research.
- Experience in the beauty industry, FMCG, or DTC brands is a strong advantage.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate complex data into clear insights and actionable recommendations.
- Solid understanding of the New Product Development (NPD) process, cosmetic ingredients, and relevant regulations.
- Proficient in insight reporting and presentation (decks, reports, and summaries).
- Ability to read and understand technical documents in English.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Strong sense of responsibility, problem-solving skills, and a can-do attitude.
- Must have a personal laptop.
