RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform vulnerability scans across IT systems and assets; monitor and coordinate with relevant teams to remediate identified vulnerabilities.
- Implement IT system hardening across infrastructure in line with CIS Controls; coordinate with teams to ensure remediation.
- Monitor security alerts from centralized logging systems, Microsoft Defender and other platforms to detect anomalies, ensure timely threat response, and recommend appropriate actions.
- Administer and monitor Email Security systems to prevent phishing, spam, and malware attacks, and investigate/remediate malicious emails when identified.
- Investigate, validate, and handle cybersecurity incidents; perform root cause analysis, propose and implement corrective measures to prevent recurrence. Coordinate with relevant teams to contain incidents and minimize impact.
- Maintain and update technical documentation on systems, configurations, and security processes within scope.
- Evaluate new security solutions and conduct testing to assess effectiveness before deployment.
- Prepare regular reports on security incidents, vulnerabilities, and attack trends for management review and continuous improvement.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Information Security, or related fields, with 1-2 years of experience in cybersecurity.
- Hands-on experience with security tools such as Vulnerability scanners, SIEM, EDR, Email Security, and Cloud/WAF (familiarity with Nessus, Microsoft Defender, Cloudflare, Splunk, or equivalents is a plus).
- Solid knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S, firewall) and operating systems (Windows/Linux).
- Preferred certifications: CompTIA CySA+, Security+, CEH, or equivalent.
