ABOUT THE JOB
We are looking for an experienced Human Resources Specialist who has hands-on experience in setting up a company from the ground up. This role will be responsible for establishing core operational foundations across legal, HR, administration, procurement, and office/IT setup to enable smooth business execution. The ideal candidate has a background in tech companies and understands organizational structures, tech roles, salary benchmarks, and equipment requirements.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Company Setup & Legal Operations
- Coordinate company registration, business licenses, tax code, and compliance requirements.
- Manage external partners (legal, accounting, payroll, office leasing, IT vendors).
- Establish operational policies, workflows, and approval processes.
HR & People Operations
- Build the initial organizational structure and headcount plan.
- Define salary bands and hiring budgets for tech and non-tech roles.
- Support recruitment activities (job posts, screening, onboarding process).
- Develop HR policies and employee handbook (leave, attendance, performance, probation, termination).
- Implement onboarding/offboarding procedures.
Administration & Procurement
- Plan and manage procurement of office assets: laptops, monitors, IT equipment, furniture, software licenses.
- Establish asset management and inventory tracking systems.
- Negotiate with suppliers and optimize operational costs.
- Oversee day-to-day administrative activities.
Office & IT Setup Coordination
- Work with IT vendors to ensure proper setup of networks, VPN, access control, cybersecurity basics.
- Understand equipment requirements for engineering, QA, product, design, customer support, etc.
Operational Management & Reporting
- Prepare operational budgets, track expenses, and ensure cost efficiency.
- Monitor KPIs and provide regular reports to leadership.
- Drive continuous improvement and scalability of company operations.
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience
- 4+ years of experience in Operations/Office Management/People Operations.
- Proven track record in setting up a company, or startup from scratch is strongly preferred.
- Experience in tech, software, gaming, fintech, or product-based companies is strongly preferred.
- Experience working in fast-paced, early-stage environments.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of tech roles, hiring cycles, and salary ranges.
- Knowledge of HR policies, labor law basics, payroll, and compliance.
- Hands-on, execution-driven mindset; willing to manage both strategic and administrative tasks.
- Strong vendor management, negotiation, and budgeting skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- English proficiency (verbal & written) preferred.
